Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Balch Springs

I'm sitting in the drive-thru around 3 cars in front of me until I get to speaker. I wait, pull up to the speaker and look at the menu as I wait on someone to acknowledge me. After around 20 secs I decide on what I would like yet to still be acknowledged by the drive-thru employee. So I wait for around 1 min because I know there alittle busy, still nothing said. After around 90 secs the truck in front of me pulls forward more, I'm still waiting to be acknowledged. So I say I'm ready when you are, I wait for a response nothing is said. I waited for around another minute, at this time it's been about 3 to 4 mins and no one has said anything to me. So I said to the speaker I guess I'll pull up to the window, as I start to pull away I finally here the employee say 1 min sir. At this point the speaker is in the middle of my truck, with someone behind me pulling up I can't just reverse since they were pulling forward. So I went to the window to sit for around 30 sec to 1 min before the employee open the window up and tell me she can't take my order at the window. I asked why not you had me sitting for 3 to 4 mins before I said I'm pulling to the window before you acknowledged me. She bluntly said I told you to hang on sir and you didn't listen and drove to the window. So I argued a bit trying to make a point and said okay this is messed up and pulled away. I then went inside to speak to a manager to tell him/her what happened because I was not pleased with the way I was treated and never being acknowledged until I said I was pulling up to the window. I ask for a manager and the person who was working drive-thru window said she was, the same person who gave me a hard time and never acknowledged me. I asked her really your the manager and you treat your customers like this. She said yes I'm the manager and stated you can leave if you don't like it. At this point I'm heated ready to go off, then she says so are you gonna order or not. I'm like really this is how you treat customers you owe me an apology, she said I'm sorry sir that I acknowledged you and you continued to drive to the window. At this point it just wasn't worth my time I wasn't gonna speak to an actual responsible manager since she was the only one there apparently. So I said fine I'll order but this will be the last time I ever come to this sonic. So I ordered my 2 grilled chz waited and left. This will be the last time I ever go to this specific sonic. Sonic please work on getting better employees and managers at this location, they clearly do not care about...

I went to pick up an Uber eats order they only had the drink fixed when I arrived hadn't started the food then they didn't drop fried until burger was ready girl on front counter cleared the order when she bagged the burger so I had to wait on fries when I arrived they had one order on drive thru and guy on front had to go get his card they took 2 orders on drive thru and a few up front I watched as they served 6orders of fries up before girl on front mentioned waiting on fries for the Uber order it took almost 15 minutes to finally get my order. And as I waited I watched the girl on front stand their taking orders while drinking a soda which is against health code standards.She never washed her hands nor did the girl cooking who came up front to help with an issue and to the drive thru to help with an issue on the register. They clear orders so they show quicker service but in doing so I had to wait longer because girl doing fries didn't know they were waiting on fries. Girl on the front seem to have problems when she got a couple of orders disorganized.and touching food items after touching money and putting straw in her mouth. Actually took orders with drink in her hand sipping on it very unsanitary especially with a sink and hand...

You have got to go to sonic! All of their food and drinks are just so good! Like the Sonic chili cheese coney! Every time they come up with one of those "limited time offers" they are so delectable and they disappear so fast when I order one. Sad when they're discontinued...But those signature drinks - like the limeades and the slushes- are simply the best. The volume value that you get for your money, the combinations of flavors that you can get (every fruit, soda, candy, mix in and everything else you could want), and a lot of times those mixed-in/thrown in actual real slices of fruit make these the most hydrating, thirst quenching, satisfying drinks around. They last so long! And the names are fun. Route 44, Route 66... You can either eat your stuff in the way that I grew up with Sonic (sitting in the drive-up lot where you call your order in through the intercom and someone delivers it to you) or just do the standard turn around the building and get your food through a normal drive-thru, as is the case with most fast food restaurants.
