Been coming here for over 7 years, and about 2-3 times a month the last two years. Ever since the BBQ place got taken over by new owners/management a few months back - food quality has decreased and prices have gone up.
First off, ain't no one teach you not to mess with a Texan's barbeque sauce? The regular sauce now comes watered down - you can see the water settle on top after a few minutes. Tastes watered down, looks WAY soupier and not saucy at all. And they also only fill the regular BBQ side cups up 1/3 of the way now - while making you pay for extra. Three of them will fill one. Talk about scammy.
Let's move on to the Mac n cheese - pretty sure they water this down too. The microwave mac in my pantry has more flavor and tastes more like cheese than whatever they're serving now. It's soupy and drippy; you'd be banned from the cookout.
Overall, the food was awful, and the blatant greediness in the changes made will come back to bite you where the sun don't shine. Your employees serving the food can't even keep up with the price changes - I was told a 2 meat plate was 17.99 and instead was charged 18.09. Its not the value of the 10 cents but the integrity of the matter. As a long time customer and someone who came here because it was good, convenient, and close by - I won't be eating here anymore. Shame on you, shame on your family & shame on your cow! Y'all ruined a...
Read moreThis location has poor service. I went there, at approx. 615pm, on 3/6/2025, to purchase a whole smoke chicken for dinner, and was told that their smoke chicken would be ready in an hour. I left and came back in approx. a hour in a half, and was then told that they had sold out. I ask how much did they cook in order for it to be sold out so quickly. The girl stated 1 1/2 chickens. There were 3 hispanic girls working. They were whispering among themselves, and I had to ask the girl to repeat herself, because she was speaking so low that I could not hear her when she spoke. I repeated back to her what I thought she said, which was they had sold out of the chicken in an hour, and that they had only cooked 1 1/2 chickens. I felt like she was not telling the truth. So I left angry, and will be calling the corporate office. I haven't come to this place in a long time because the ribs are not good, and the side food always looks like its been sitting there all day untouched. Since traffic was bad, I decided to try their smoke chicken this time, since it is close to my home, and convenient. But I will not be coming again. There is always new people working there for some reason, when go to the Sonic next to them. This smokehouse needs to shut down or find a better cook and staff. What BBQ restaurant smokes only 1...
Read moreThe ribs at Texas Best Smokehouse are to be experienced as many times in life as possible! Already falling - off - the - bone tender, with the particular type of pork and the rub they feed you, and the barbecue sauce they are addictive unmatchable and a wonder of nature! when you're in your car eating them watching the world go by they benefit you physically mentally and spiritually! You can feel yourself quickly getting full but your hand just keeps on picking up one rib after another after another after another-and those sides! The salads (especially the peas, the potato salad and the broccoli salad), those rosemary potatoes, the succotash and all the rest of them and the desserts are awesome and I find something new to order and enjoy every time I go over there. The prices are great! I paid a reasonable price for my order of 8 ribs, the 3 sides, the dessert and the large Dr pepper. Texas Best Smokehouse closes at around 8:30 or 9:00 I believe. They're 9 or 10 miles west of Buc-ee's (which is also incredible and awesome) at the intersection of Beltline and I-20. They're to your right on the off-ramp, on the other side of the intersection from the...
