Not since new Orleans have I had food like this. We were referred by a local while traveling through. The entire experience was excellent. I had "the triple Decker" and was not disappointed. the catfish was cooked perfectly. Most resterants WAY overcook fish and with cathish there is a fine line between undercooked and shoe leather. Who Dat's cooked the fish perfectly and the blackening season was not overpowering. The crawfish etouffee was hearty but not gummy, with plenty of crawfish tails and a good amount of spice. The fried crawfish tails were light, crispy, hot, and succulent. the breading was not overpowering and was more of a tempura batter than a breading and was not heavy in any way. The fried crawfish tails were not over seasoned and let the taste of the meat come through. The coleslaw was cold, creamy, and had excellent flavor. The hushpuppies were hot, crispy on the outside and flakey on the inside, not heavy or doughy in any way. I am sure it helps that the family owns a seafood market but they know how to cook as well! Our server was excellent. he knew how to engage people, was friendly, but not pushy or overbearing. The prices for the portion you got and the quality of the food was right on par. My wife had a burger and raved about the hand formed , cooked perfectly, and well season patty. Final thought: WOW! I left here, full, happy and also sad that I will not be able to be back in the near future. Try the catfish and if the rest of the menu is like the triple decker I am sure it will be awesome!

My Sister and I ate here I LOVED IT!!!! I had to give it a 4 star, because my Sister did not like it as much as I did, and she was not impressed with the Gumbo at all , it was watery, pretty tasteless and bland (and I kinda have to agree-but how could you even care about the gumbo when you have the rest of this "PERFECTION"). OH MY GOODNESS!!!! We had the Bayou Platter for TWO ($68.99). It comes with (2 portions of everything on this list), 2 cups of Gumbo, 2 Salads (Cole slaw is optional) Crab Legs, Crawfish Etouffee (we were able to substitute more boiled shrimp for that, since neither of us like crawfish), Boiled Shrimp, Fried Catfish, Hushpuppies, Fried Shrimp, Frog Legs and LUMP CRAB Stuffed Mushrooms (tons of crab in the stuffing). It had been since before COVID that I had been here, so I was a tad bit disappointed there is no salad/side bar, BUT with the portions of the meal, I am glad it was not there to distract from the actual entree. We ate until we were stuffed...(uh, even the waiter said "you ladies must have been pretty hungry"...yeah, yeah ok, thanks for pointing that out to everyone, LOL)..AND we still took a doggiebag home. I have eaten there several times in the past, MY opinion, they have gotten BETTER!!!

Consistently good and generously portioned Cajun food though MODERATELY OVERPRICED especially given that the HOT BAR / SALAD BAR remains MIA post-pandemic — with no decrease whatsoever in the price of any meal(s). Eliminating the hot bar and salads for strictly à la cart ordering was a mistake: where’s the Louisiana LAGNIAPPE in that?! Again, generous portions and generally high-quality food ingredients. And if you have room, the desserts are all on display and very tempting. Shared an apple bread pudding which was very nice with a dense bread custard component, tender chunks of apple, and just enough sauce. Suggestion: double check your “recommended tip” — should not be based on taxes and unrelated credit card penalty fees (which this restaurant charges). Also, insist on a hardcopy receipt from the cashier. Some shenanigans my last couple of visits.

If it wasn't for the food, I would never go there at all. The service is the worst around, and thats worse than crappy fast food. They refuse to substitute the simplest things. The tables are always sticky, not a good thing for a place that serves shell fish. They refuse to own up to mistakes. If they mess your order up and they actually fix it(they hardly fix it) they charge you for both their mistake and the corrected food items. If you disagree with your ticket, the cashier disappears to get the owner and reappears with a manager who is CLEARLY angry with you before you are even allowed to speak with them. I am pretty sure that the very rude cashier lies to them once she is out of earshot of the customer and this is why they is so hostile with customers. I have personally seen this a handful of times, and it always happens the same way, she goes into the kitchen or back area and comes out after a few minutes with a very irritated owner/manager. They have already been informed of the problem, as biased as it is, and never admit that the fault could be with his staff, it is ALWAYS the customers fault. That is no way to run a business. After seeing a FB post about ants in the food and the owner refusing to refund the dinner price, even though the customer refused the food and ate none of it, the owner insisted that the customer pay for the food, I decided to write a review. I always thought that the bad service was just an issue that only happened on occasion, but it happens to other people as well. Then the cashier Tia, got very rude with the next person in line, this I have seen or the cashier trash talk the previous customers after they leave to the next in line. That place is very rude, and I have decided that I will take my business elsewhere...

Our first time going there and we will never be back. We drove 45 minutes to eat there and knew there would be a wait, no big deal. After an hour we were seated. Our waiter, Eric, who was not very friendly and seemed like he was just there for a paycheck came and took our drink orders. He brought my husband sweet tea instead of unsweet tea and when we told him he brought the wrong drink, it took him 45 minutes to bring the correct drink. We also ordered an appetizer that he forgot to write down so we never got that either. Several other tables sat down after us and ordered their food 15-20 minutes after we did and got their food first. Eric never checked on us, never told us our order was being worked on or anything. We had to flag him down for refills. After an hour and we still didn’t have our food, we got up and requested to speak to the manager. We waited 15 minutes for her to show up. She was even more rude than Eric who was at the register interrupting the entire time. She told us our food was on the table now and to pretty much quit complaining and go eat. By this time, we don’t even want to be there because of how rude everyone was. She said our food didn’t get out before the other tables because it depends on the order the kitchen works on it, which makes no sense. I told her it wasn’t about that anymore, it’s about the terrible customer service and her response was “that’s fine, we don’t need you and you don’t have to come back”. Pretty sure her name is Tia Stelly, which is the same name as the owners so I guess that’s why she was acting that way because she’ll get away with it. Terrible experience and I will never recommend this...
