What happened to The CUSTOMER is always Right ? Does that not matter anymore? We went to Valentines Bingo at Backdraft Bar & Grille, the bar we have gone to for over a year to play Bingo and spend at least $100 everytime we go. We had to buy $25 tickets in advance that included one Bingo bundle (10 games ) and a Buffet. (Crappy fried food ). We get there , they sold 150 tickets, the Manager tells us to sit in a booth that holds 4 people and tells us that she will be putting 2 strangers with us. (I am not ok with this , the booth is small and not comfortable sitting with 2 strangers). So a worker comes by and tells us that we can’t sit there unless we have 4 people , I proceed to tell her that the manager told us to sit there . I let her know that I am not comfortable having 2 strangers and that the event was very unorganized. She sends the Manager over to tell us to move , I proceed to tell her that she put us there .(I was not very nice and may have sworn at her ) Link asked her where we are supposed to sit , she says not there , She tells us to get out !! Link says well you owe us a refund , she says no , we tell her we are not leaving. She finds us a seat at the bar , ok no big deal . What really got me upset was that she had no one sit at that table and a party of 2 eventually sat there and won a gift card . I say something to the bartender, she sticks up for the manager, we are then told if we want to leave they will give us a refund. I sent a complaint to the Bar and never got a response from them . I thought the customer was always right , the were downright RUDE to us . I will never step into...
Read moreHorrible service on Sunday evenings. We got there at 7 and only about 9 people were in the bar, 5 of which seemed to be waiting for food. I ordered fries and buffalo chicken rolls around 7:15. I Asked the bartender, who was more attentive to her phone than the patrons from the time we walked in, if she put in our food order it's been almost an hour. She responded by saying the cook was backed up, he was new and to just give him some time. An hour and 15 min later the fries came out. I in turn, asked her about the buffalo chicken rolls and was told they were coming. So another 20 minutes later they finally came out. I kindly said I didn't want them anymore because its been an hour and a half. The bartender appeared annoyed by my comment and took the food away to the kitchen to talk to the owner/mgr. We could hear her complaining about me in the kitchen to the cook, dishwasher and owner while she boxed up the food. Not once did she or the owner/mgr say anything to anyone about food taking over an hour and a half to make. She sat back down in front of her phone eating and he sat at the end of the bar talking to 2 guys that had just walked in. This place used to have some of the best service...
Read moreWe have been going on weekends for lunch several years now. Food has always been good and nicely portioned and great prices even post-covid. We always get wings and either the chicken sandwich, a Pittsburgh salad or the special. The special for a while now had been chicken tenders and fries in a basket for $5.00, and you could upgrade to tater tots for like a $1.50 if you wanted. This past Saturday I ordered it and it came out just chicken tenders, no fries and there was one less tender in the basket than usual. I didn't say anything but then the wings that we got were microscopic and incredibly dry and over cooked. The bill came and I then discovered that they raised the price on the special to like $6.00 now. So you are paying more for quite a bit less. Not sure if we'll go back...
