Taichi Bubble Tea, Ramen and Poke - Frederick — Restaurant in Ballenger Creek

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile now and since this just opened in Frederick, I was looking forward to going. My experience was unfortunately mainly bad. The place is nice when you walk in and we saw that you could either fill out a sheet and hand it to the cashier or go to the touch screen to place your order. We went to the touch screen and ordered two sushi burritos and two bubble teas. Our bubble teas came out fine, in a timely manner, and tasted fine but our food order was a bad experience. There was a confusion with someone who placed an order by filling out a form then us who placed our order on the touch screen, there was two order 19s. Twice we got brought the order that was not ours and finally after 20 minutes, we got our correct food. The staff was apologetic and checked up on us when we got the food that we ordered but the mix up shouldn't have happened in the first place. Not sure if we'll be back...

This place is AMAZING. I don't usually leave reviews but I just couldn't help it for my experience at Taichi Bubble Tea. We got two drinks, A Matcha milk, tea with tapioca bubbles and a mango smoothie with strawberry Boba drinks were outstanding and tasted so fresh and delicious. For food my boyfriend got shoyu ramen With pork and I got a poke sushi bowl with salmon. I will definitely say that both dishes came fresh. The Ramen was hot and tasty. And my Sushi bowl was crafted with the most High quality and passion. I also want to say That the staff was so friendly and helpful. As soon as I walked in the lady at the counter, said hello to me and Treated me more like family or a friend more than a customer she had met for the first time. Not a lot of customer service. Prompted to order through kiosk. First point of dishonesty, kiosk prompts for tip. After tipping 20%, you realize you had no reason to tip. You order through kiosk, pickup your own food, and clean your own table. Super dishonest practice. Charged $1 for extra egg in ramen. Even though it says egg, it means half an egg. Also dishonest. Not clear on what really comes with and what does not. Extras are way to much. Flavors were good, but a couple dishonest things really start to turn me off from a business. Do better. Realize that they're ratings are only good because they remove the ones they don't like. Edit: please don't to try to explain away your dishonesty. Your kiosk said .99 for an extra egg, not an extra half an egg. That's dishonest. Your kiosk does not explain that you are tipping for zero reason and that you get your own and clean up after yourself. ...
