I had ordered in door dash and gotten the fried chicken and it was good. I decided to drive 20 minutes as I said it was worth it. I called ahead and ordered two fry chicken white rice and 1 brown stew chicken white rice. When I got there they didn't have my order and it was not ready. The fair lady was giving me attitude but I stood my ground was respectful and ordered the same thing above plus two patties as the fried chicken was gonna take 5 minutes. They asked me again if I wanted rice and peas and I said no white rice for all my meals. Why I got home and the 3 meals had rice and peas. I specifically ordered white rice as I tried both rice and the white rice was better. The patties were delicious. The chicken was dry and not like I had had it that night I ordered off door dash. As a Jamaican American, I hold native food in high regard, making my recent experience particularly disappointing. I requested extra sauce and a spicier option, but the results were unsatisfactory. The chicken was dry, and the rice was overcooked, presenting a burnt flavor. Additionally, the cabbage lacked any discernible taste, mirroring my feelings towards the other dishes, except for the potatoes, which were acceptable. I was disheartened by both the taste and presentation of the meal. The plantains were particularly underwhelming and devoid of flavor. I find it perplexing how such a result could occur. I came here on a whim but I must say that I really enjoyed the food that I purchased from this restaurant.
