October 2024 - First off, this was the only Trini spot that I'd patronize. I'm now on the hunt for other Trinidadian options in Baltimore City/Baltimore. I rarely ever think about coming here because of the quality of their food and portion sizes. I only came today for Doubles, which they rarely have available. I don't eat any meats from here at all. After my Doubles disappointment, I stared at their menu in frustration because nothing is good here any more. I ended up ordering a Curry MINI SIZED Shrimp Buss Up. It was served in a tiny container with baby shrimp. It wasn't even filled to the fill line. The Buss Up was good, of course. The curry mini shrimp gravy was oily. I actually had to make more shrimp to add to my toddler meal. $20 wasted. Customer Service - Well I stood there watching women walk back and forth for at least 10 minutes. No greeting at all. Yes, I was noticed standing in the glass window. I'm 100% Trini and I would rather get curry from Golden Crust on Route 40 in Catonsville. Their curry is delicious. I'm not too crazy about their roti. Their stew chicken is good. Customer service is usually very good for a Jamaican eatery. August 2024 - Not the best Trinidadian experience. Their food was very flavorful in the early 2000's when they were on Mc Elderry. Not so much as of July 2023-24. I will not return. The amount of money spent was not comparable to what was received. We ordered curry shrimp roti, stew beef buss up, and spinach. Curry Shrimp was bland. Stew Beef was absolutely awful, bland, tough, and riddled with gristle. What a huge blow for Trini food. It's already extremely difficult to find in Baltimore. Yes, I a Trini to de bone. Their dishes don't deserve pictures.

I confirmed they had all the items I wanted, placed a phone order and paid over the phone. I arrived at least 40 minutes later and my order still was not ready. I left and came and still they were short 2 doubles and tried to substitute it with less interesting items of which I declined. I got home and the buss up shot was not bussing. In other words, it was like thin roti bake. The pumpkin was good but the aloo was hunks of potato with very little channa. I returned yesterday to surpise my sister with doubles knowing I would avoid the buss up shut. I ordered 8 doubles at $3.75 USD per doubles. Yesss...you heard correctly. Please take a look at what I paid $3.75 for. Every last one looked like this. You can count the channa. How this place is rated a 4 star is beyond me. I will resume making my own buss up shut and doubles packed with channa and topped with proper tambran sauce, cucumber chutney and other condiments. Some businesses should just close up shop and this is one. The portions have gotten VERY small compared to other Caribbean establishments and the prices have increased tremendously. No wonder they don't post prices anywhere. Do yourself a favor and avoid West Indian Flavour.

Ive been to this place twice. This is my third time. Ive ordered online for delivery more times than I can remember. The service is slow and inconsistent. I just waited in line for 30 mins! To make my order. Only two people in front of me and one sitting and eating. The place was empty. The server was slow and uncaring. No smile, no how are you. Like she doesnt want to take my order. I was standing right in front of the window and she let someone else in front of me to pay for his food before she helped me. After I stood for 25 minutes?!?. No.. The window is clear so you can she her prepare the food. She is in no rush! She slides her feet when she walks to add to the torture. She prepares the first order before even taking the next order. When I add this to the fact that I have ordered more than once and waited only to have my order canceled bc they werent open that day (and they were supposed to be!) They get one star. Good food. Cant dispute that. The best that I know of in the city or county. HOWEVER. They cant have ANYMORE of my money. Im done.

First experience in summer of 2022. Had the curry bussup for office lunch and nearly cried in pleasure. Tried a few times to order the same within the year, but online lunch orders were always canceled. Finally got delivery through door dash in summer of 2023. Curry chicken bones and bussup. Heartbroken that I essentially paid 20$ for bussup and drip. Not a total loss since bussup was bussin and drip was really drippin. Closed my office door and rolled up my sleeves to be alone with my roots and my snack while I justify my loss. Figured the bones was an unfortunate lunch crowd event. I must've ordered too late and missed the meat, right? Ordered again for lunch. More curry bones. Good bussup. This must be a weekday rush phenomenon, right? Nope. Rerouted by on an easy Sunday. Far from home, but wanted to share this good bussup with the offspring. Waited a good hour for curry chicken bussup. I'm the only carnivore. Add bussup. Got curry bones and drip with the most tender and delicious bussup. Drip still drippy. Semi loss. Prices don't align with servings. Convinced that this joint specializes in canine portions, and I am not a boneivore, I swore off. Too bad I got my offspring hooked on the bussup that day. They made me pass thru again one easy Sunday. We couldn't wait for hours so we left. I promised my daughter the next Sunday we get her bussup. I was smarter now. Prepared. I ordered large chicken curry and add some bussups for pickney dem. They must leave over the bones for the bussup and broth. Nope. This time, tiny green curry bones, dry rice and pea, raw veggies and... dry, tasteless powder bussup. Not on the fire enough. Lawd, not the bussup, too!!! All is lost. We will not return. 26$ for a tiny pack of flour. Didn't trust the green so had to toss. Considering the wait time, we can pound and roll at home. Never again. I will not eat green bones and flour. I will not eat them any hour. Not on a boat, with a goat, crossing a moat in a coat. You should not eat green bones and flour. There it is....

They are Rude. I ordered door dash and was notified my order was ready. When I get to the place the man at the counter, eating food didn't even look at me, said yes. I told him I had a order for pick up from door dash. Still no effort to even turn his head to look at me... he said we didn’t get any door dash orders. I proceeded to show him my phone with the paid order and notification of it being ready and he yelled We Did Not Get Any Door Dash Order. I was stunned. I said ooook, can you double check..? :/ Still looking at his side profile, he said take it up with door dash. I stepped out of the restaurant in disbelief…first time ever having to call door dash… I explained the situation. Door dash call was easier than expected and they refunded my money. I went back inside, and as soon as I peeked in a lady said, we found your Door Dash Order. Really… :| I told them I already cancelled and I had to let the man know that I have never been to a place where as soon as I walked in I was treated with such rude and nasty behavior. He finally put his food down and acted as if it didn’t even happen.

Their food is Inconsistent. Food will be great one day…Zero flavor the next time.

I will never go back. I have been here a few times and was really excited about having some good buss up. Unfortunately, this place is not it. If you get the man or their worker, you will get cold, horrible service. The wife is the only decent person that will actually treat you like a person. The really need...
