I came to Jumpin Out The Pot a few days ago. It was my first time eating there. I was with my aunt who put me on to the restaurant and I was excited to try their wide variety of foods. It was almost hard to pick from so many delicious options. I ended up going with the lamb chops with shrimp combo, a side of fries, mozzarella sticks, and an eight piece wings with another side of fries. I was given a free drink, and free dessert for it being my first time ordering from the restaurant and spending over 50 dollars. While waiting for the food to be cooked, I was entertained by a television on the wall, and old school jams playing through the speakers. There was plenty of space, so when a good song came on, I would dance with my aunt and my cousin to the music. When receiving the freshly prepared food, I was not disappointed. The bag was hot from the food being fresh, and I chose to get the strawberry cake as my dessert which was delightful! I started off eating the wings and fries. I had never tried honey old bay wings before. The wings were delicious, and I now have a new favorite flavor for wings. Later on I ate the lamb chops, and shrimp. The platter also came with broccoli, rice, and a rich flavorful sauce that complemented the lamb very well. I was told not many customers get the lamb chop platter. I was astonished with the lamb, for I haven't had lamb in many years. The platter came with three lamb chops. They were a great size for the price and they were juicy. The rice and broccoli were a great compliment to the lamb chops. The platter was big enough to share with my mother, and she loved it! This is one of the best black owned restaurants I've been to; having a wide variety of food options, amazing fresh cooked food, great customer service, and a medium of entertainment when waiting for food. For that, I give Jumpin Out The Pot 5 Stars. I didn't take pictures this time, but I definitely will for the next review. To the staff of Jumpin Out The Pot, Thank you for your amazing service, and your delicious foods! I can't wait to try more options from your menu! Before leaving out with my food, I saw the Philly cheese steak, and it looked delicious. I'm definitely getting...

I was looking for soul food and this was one of the places that popped up. After looking at their instagram I decided to give them a try. Let’s say I’m not disappointed !
The service when I walked in was top notch. I was the last customer of the day and did not feel rushed which was awesome.
I got two crab egg rolls and a cheesesteak egg roll that was delicious. The sauce they top it off with babyyy bottle it up and sell ok :) 10/10
I also had the banana pudding , which took me back 🥰🥰 I am one who does not care for the bananas in the pudding and was happy to see there wasn’t. It was a bit sweet but still good 9/10
Let’s not forget the Mac & Cheese, that was also delicious. My only complaint is I wanted a tad more seasoning but my sister tried it and said it was perfect, I just like high blood pressure lol 8.5/10
Now last but not least the seafood salad … Chef Kiss. I was skeptical due to the fact a lot of places us imitation crab meat. Well not here ! Nice lump crab meat with succulent shrimp and seasoned perfectly. Oh & the noodles weren’t soggy 💪🏾 10/10
Let’s say this place exceeded my expectations and the 23 minute drive was well worth it.
Oh & let me not forget they are about their people. Standing in line I over heard him tell a family of the neighborhood that he is doing a “50 for 50 school age kids summer food program “ So if you’re a parent in need and live in the area you may want to...
Read moreI’m writing this review for one of my best friend who visits often. When she first opened I had a friend who visits from up in Phila, PA 2-3 times a month who fell in love with bbq ribs. When we spoke during the week she couldn’t stop talking about how the meat just fell off of the bones than melted in your mouth & how well they were seasoned, the tenderness of the meat below her mine. This same friend came for another visit earlier this year and could hardly wait to get some more of what she thought were some of the best ribs she’d tasted since she moved from down South, only to get the total opposite of what she got on her first visit to your establishment. On her 2nd she complained that the ribs were tuff, dry and she could hardly tasted the seasoning. It was very clear that their ribs had not been prepared by the same person. Trying to keep the money in small black business, my friend tried their ribs for a 3rd time( 7/8/23) only to be disappointed again. Come on get your (s- - t) together you guys have the support of the community so far, continue giving the same quality of food you started out giving when you first opened, people like food and the location and would like for your spot to stay around for a while, when the food was good it was good, so keep it that way.
