I consider myself a breakfast expert, having eaten it with relative consistency for the past 30 years (in addition to 3 years managing a breakfast restaurant, but that's less relevant). The Remington sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich I've EVER eaten. The warm, flaky challah bread, the spicy aioli with just the right amount of a kick, and the fresh sausage and eggs came together to make a magical experience with every bite. I can't imagine ever eating another breakfast sandwich from anywhere else, or if I am forced to, I know that it will not bring me the same joy that I was blessed with this morning.
Now let's talk coffee. Yuzu and Coffee. Genius. I get weird looks from all of my family and friends for my coffee orders, but I received validation today in the form of the Yuzu Cold Brew Soda. The citrus from the Yuzu brings a refreshing jolt to the chocolatey cold brew coffee, and then they add in the soda for that last bit of bite that I didn't know I wanted but I now know that I needed.

Read moreWho would have known that an egg frittata with blueberry jam on a biscuit would be so DELICIOUS?! I came for the coffee but was delighted about that little sandwich. My coffee was excellent; I thoroughly enjoyed it. We stayed to work for a little - the chairs and tables are not super conducive for staying long periods of time but I love the space generally, and think the building is super cool. They have a walk-up window too, which is nice. Oh, how could I forget the roastery?!!! I peeked through the window and thought the behind the scenes process was so dope! And the smell of freshly roasted coffee?! Cannot compare. Will certainly...
Read moreI have been going to their pop-up stall at R House in Remington almost every weekday for months now while I work in the mornings. All of their staff is very friendly and helpful, providing good recommendations for beverages and food. Not being a coffee drinker myself, I can't attest to the quality of the coffee specifically, but their other beverage options (including the London Fog on a nitro tap!!) are impeccable, and their food is excellent, so I can only imagine the coffee is of similar quality. Combine that with the always friendly service (shout outs to Matt and Nora for making me feel like a friend), and this is a place...
