It really bothers me that I have to rate this business so low but let me be clear their food is delicious. The problem is with their customer service. The quality of their food does not outweigh the fact that they can have poor customer service over the phone and in person. My biggest gripe with this business is their Partnership with Uber Eats. They consistently cancel orders placed with them through the application consistently I would say about 1 in every 5 attempts goes through. Each time no explanation can be offered by Uber Eats as to why they are cancelling. They also often have discrepencies between when they say they are open and when Uber Eats has them listed as open. Why would they even agree to start doing deliveries? Also, if for some reason you didn't have the items in question (which I doubt is the reason) a good business should call offer an alternative to the customer before simply cancelling. I'm not sure if anyone else has this issue when ordering via Uber Eats from Shareef's but if they do not like having to cook/make delivery orders then they should request for their business to be removed from the listing. At this point it's a slap in the face to the consumer who genuinely wants to support your restaurant monetarily as Uber Eats is not cheap but I pay the extra food because I really do enjoy your food. However, you cancelled without call or explanation on this customer for the last time. I won't be ordering or recommending anymore as you clearly do not value your repeat customers unless they are close enough to come into the store physically. Extremely dissapointing to deal with as a customer who has been eating from Shareef's for years but don't live close enough to carry out anymore. Ridiculous PLEASE STOP SHOWING YOUR RESTAURANT AS AN OPTION ON UBER EATS. IT'S FALSE ADVERTISEMENT IF YOU ALWAYS...
Read moreMy first time ordering from here and the food was fresh to order. Yet the online prices didn't match up. The food was hot which was great and I ordered the salmon platter and two rotisserie wings which rang up to $20 some dollars. I was shocked one because the platter wasn't even that big and I was expecting to pay maybe $16 or so but I just went along with the total trying to support a black owned business.
I should have gotten the sauce of the platter on the side since I didn't know what to expect. But I got the sauce on it and my first bite for myself personally was not to my liking. The sauce that was drizzled on top kind of tasted like tartar sauce mixed with mayonnaise and a hint of ketchup, regardless it just wasn't my cup of tea. So I tried to skim it off the top but it was pretty bountiful. Also I was surprised at how the salmon was chopped up throughout the platter it was hard to find any actual chunks. I tried the rotisserie wing and that was the winner for me. At $2 for one rotisserie wing...
