We were disapointed.... slow inattentive service... just ok food...my Mother asked for a half sweet tea half unsweetened ICED tea.... my husband asked for sweet iced tea...and I asked for iced water...Momma got an Arnold Palmer(half tea half lemonade..).not what she ordered..... our server did not write down anything.....perhaps she should have... My hubby and I got our water and sweet tea but all 3 of us had watered down drinks because of not nearly enough ice.....any bartender or server can tell you....that is a no no... Jeffery and I both ordered burgers...we figured that this was a standard easy order....it's been awhile but Fridays used to be a place that...at the very least you can go get a couple of yummy burgers.... Jeff added a side salad..... the salad was dropped off...Then.....7 seconds later our burgers came??? What can I say......the salad should have been brought to the table just after the order was put in......the burgers....hubby's truffle Swiss mushroom....it wasn't made with any care....burger was greasy.....mushrooms were a very small pile...it looked nothing like the picture.... My burger was the whiskey glazed bacon cheddar.....the burger was greasy...the whiskey sauce was a disapointment.....not at all.... as it was described..... oh yes and the onion rings were under cooked.... my Mother just asked for some saltines.... her stomach was not feeling well..... our server plopped down a pile of saltines in front of my husband...no little plate....saucer..... nothing? Oh yes and when our very average....very UNDER WELMING burgers were served...all 3 of us just looked at the table as we realized that she had given us prepackaged to-go plastic utensils?!?!?!?! The server did not come back and ask how we liked our food?!?! We had to "flag" her down for more ice for our drinks.... and when we again waved her down and asked for our check....she apologized for not stopping right away because she didn't want to forget another tables order she had just taken and had to rush to put it in the computer!?!?! Suggestion??? Write it down!!! We look at our check the food total was 44.50....plus tax...and a $8.09"SERVICE CHARGE" WAS ADDED bringing the grand total for 2 burgers 2 drinks 1 water and 4 packs of crackers to $ 55.59 !?!?!?! We asked the server.... what is the service charge? Do you get this? She said no....and that it was something the company just started doing??? She said she hadn't been there long?? 8 months and they just started doing it? I asked her... doesn't that affect your tips?? Oh no.... it doesnt... and she then asked me hadn't I ever ordered door dash? They have a service charge? I told her I have....and that no they do not....they charge a delivery fee.... to deliver the food....unless you are a member....and I am...I'm not sure what one thing had to do with the other...... So.... this by the way was my birthday lunch....thank you Tgi Fridays at Mondawmin..... I will never ever go there or suggest that anybody I know goes there ever again....... Sadly the restaurant we wanted to go to Paper Moon diner is closed on Mondays......and clearly our 2nd hastily made choice was the wrong one...... Fridays isn't what it used to be......at least this one....the only positive thing I can say is they have good parking.....EVERYTHING ELSE WAS HORRIBLE. Enter at...
Read moreCan't give less than one star. The carry out is a mess. I placed my order over the phone. They told me it would be 25 mins. I already knew that they were slow, so I got there in 35 mins. When I gave them my name, they told me that it would be out in 10 mins. I waited for a few mins, but it started to get crowded (social distance). So I decided to go to 7-eleven and come back. When I came back they were worse. There were about 15 people at the table and in the doorway trying to get their food. The people handing out orders were only paying attention to whoever was constantly asking for their food, so I had to get to the table. When I finally got someone's attention, I told her my name. Then I called her back to give here my last name because it's easier. I think that made her upset, but she went to the table and told me that my food wasn't there. 15 mins later I got some guy's attention who told me that he can only do one thing at a time. That was a light-skinned guy wearing black. Then they rolled out more orders. This is the second time since I'd been there. They, again, passed out orders to whoever was asking the most. The guy wearing black was the first person's attention that I could get. He walked to the table, not the rolling one, and got my order. He was being rude the whole time, but what I was thinking about is the lady that told me that my food wasn't there. That was the lady wearing a red shirt and had afro puffs. I hate thinking that she did that on purpose. I hope she didn't. Either way, she checked the table and told me that my order wasn't there. So I was there an extra half hour, crowded with 10-15 people constantly asking about their food. After I got home I found out that my order was wrong. One thing that was wrong is the queso fries that comes with bacon, cheese, and stuff; mine were plain. Just fries. I don't know what's going on in the kitchen. It may be a lack of organization, or lack of pace. But I do have an idea for the front. When people walk into the door and give their name, take their name and give them one of those pucks that buzz and light up when you're table is ready. Then they can distance themselves safely (stand outside or sit in their car) until their order is ready. Also, this way orders will be filled in some...
Read moreWe ordered take-out via the Friday's website, we did not eat in the restaurant. The ordering process on the website was pretty easy, but no savings over ordering pickup thru DoorDash. It was going to be ready in 20 mins. I arrived at the store on time and the food was waiting. A jug of lemonade was included with my order, and it was sitting separately from the food. The person at the desk did not hand me the lemonade, I had to ask for it. I think maybe a note on the receipt would have helped. Once I got home, all the food was there other than an extra sauce that we paid for, but I could not check because the bags were sealed when I picked them up. The food was all quite good. I tasted the steak my kiddo ordered and it was very flavorful. I had the fish and chips which were good but not great. The coleslaw, however, tasted kinda musky. The one thing that really stood out was the cookie tray. To me, they tasted like someone ran over to Giant and bought Chewy Chips Ahoy and stuck them in the tray. These cookies did NOT taste homemade, or even really good at all. The strawberry lemonade that came with it, is a big hit with the kiddo. A solid meal, not a great one. EDIT: 2 weeks later, we ordered again... because my kiddo wanted steak. Again, ordering was easy online. I looked for the 1/2 gallon of lemonade online and I could not find it. When I picked up the food, I asked and purchased the lemonade. It was pretty pricey at nearly $10, so buying the cookies and getting it "free" would have been a better deal, cuz at least you get some mid cookies. Steak was good again. The two chicken dishes had the thinnest chicken breasts on record, not even A's! The pick 2 entree came in the saddest tray looking really really sad. The mac and cheese looks terrible but was acutally tasty and the best thing we ordered this time was the sesame chicken appetizer. It was good, chunky tenders with a tasty sauce! We may still come again, as they are the nearest "steakhouse" to us, but I ain't expecting...
