I planned a company event at this location over the weekend and I have never been so embarrassed that I was in charge of an event and chose Topgolf. We booked through the sales department and Jessica was great and accommodating. Daniyah was our server and she was absolutely amazing and if we ever returned we would request her again. The reason for my 1 star has to do with management, specifically Sara. As stated, we were here for a previously booked company event. We arrived 45minutes prior to our scheduled time and let the front desk know our party was sitting by the bar. They were 20 minutes late taking us to our bays. Our service was great until 15 minutes before it was time to end our party. Sara then showed up, I explained to her we were still waiting on food we had ordered and paid for and that we would be happy to take our items in a to go box. She got extremely rude and nasty with me. She said she didn’t know why we were “allowed” to order any more items 45 minutes before our time slot was up and that we should not have been. My first question was if we were 20 minutes late, at no fault of ours, to our event, why are we still being pushed out at the original end time. Her response to that was “I just got here so its not my fault you were late.” My second question was when will our food be out because we ordered it 45 minutes ago and have paid for it. She said she didn’t know but we could not wait here for our food. I asked her if she could have it boxed so we could take it with us and she rolled her eyes and walked away. We asked to have our food boxed up and we waited inside at a table for 2 because there was no other room for our group. Our food arrived, was not boxed, and the food runner had no where to put it. We asked to speak to a manager and were told they were too busy to come talk to us. this point, Danial, another manager had see what was going on and came over to offer his assistance. I explained to him everything that had happened and he apologized and let us know that they are still new and experiencing staffing shortages and he did not believe that the way this situation was handle was acceptable. If I were here for a date or an event with friends I would not be as upset, however this was a work event that was paid for by my company and I planned. I was very embarrassed by the way Sara spoke to us and handled our group. I would not be comfortable bringing my coworkers back to this location or hosting another event. I am also disappointed that the on-staff manager was “too busy” to come speak to us. Thank you to Danial and our sweet waitress Daniyah B. for all their help and hospitality. Our experience up until the last hour we were there was great. Its very unfortunate that the ending basically ruined our entire time. I am very sorry that you have these type of people representing your company. I have been to Topgolf on numerous occasions all over the country and have never been treated this way. And for a company event...
Read moreIf you have a different ethnicity….think twice before planning a Top golf evening. The worst place you can visit. The administration and staff certainly have racial bias. This review is coming from an educated, socially responsible citizen of society. We have been to Top golf before celebrating kids and family members Birthday parties, when they have never checked physical form of IDs. To start our session was booked for 6pm, we were not assigned a bay till 6:15, when they prompt in closing the bay sharp at deadline.
The server came to help around 6:30pm. Her name was Destiny for reference. One of our part few of our party members just carry a state accepted ID, on phone (Maryland Digital ID) which is a formal and accepted form of ID by Maryland state law, Topgolf refuse to accept. The manager Ms. Samantha, the intention is to be unhelpful than a facilitator, was rather blunt with poor people skills, could certainly benefit from professional coaching about customer service. When politely asked about showing Top Golf published policy of not accepting a valid state ID on phone, was not able to reproduce. We are courteous law abiding citizens, will follow all laws and policies but such an instance seemed like victimization based on their personal bias based on race ??? Is all that is coming to my mind as a logical reason.
The server showed poor body language and attitude, almost a racist attitute, In front of us she was visibly more courteous to other customers. She was unavailable for us and was no where to be found to take food orders for our hungry kids :(
We had to request for a replacement server, to atleast carry on with the kids birthday and not ruin the evening, was the only request which was allowed the entire evening. She was courteous and polite, however did make a point to tell us there will not extension on the bay, when we did not even ask, and there were many empty bays available otherwise at the time. This just is a reflection of not an institution standing behind customer service. The employees are there to just to the minimum possible and escape work. If there is an ownership should do an inspection to understand the problem, as the employees don’t care about the business or customer service at all.
For those who ever tried to book a bay at this location would know getting any adequate information from them is like pulling teeth!!! They will try their best to be unhelpful and non-accommodative of any basic requests. They do not realize that such unhelpful attitude just ruins people awaited social gathering and relaxation. The experience may feel similar to being in jail where all basic requests will be denied as the intention is “punishment” This intention behind this review if just to highlight an unprofessional, un courteous, sub-optimal and minimalist customer service. The work culture which is being promoted is to be “unhelpful”. Hope this review is a CAUTION ⚠️ if you are thinking about an...
Read moreI am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction with a recent visit to the TopGolf Baltimore location on Sunday, July 21st. Four of us, all mothers with children under three years of age, had painstakingly arranged childcare for our first-ever visit to TopGolf, selecting your Baltimore establishment for its convenient central location. Regrettably, our experience was marred by a series of concerning issues, primarily stemming from the service we received and what appear to be egregious pricing discrepancies.
Upon ordering, I requested two 9 oz pours of Studio by Miraval Rosé. The price for this item was notably absent from the menu. Given that a full bottle of Studio by Miraval Rosé typically retails for approximately $17, I was shocked to find that I was charged $19.49 per glass, totaling $38.98. This represents an exorbitant markup, bordering on 1000% per glass, which is unconscionable. Had this price been transparently displayed, I would never have placed the order.
Furthermore, our food order was mishandled. I initially attempted to order the "Nacho Average Nachos" without protein, only to be informed by our waitress that they were unavailable. Consequently, I requested an order of wings. However, five minutes later, the waitress returned to inform us that nachos were, in fact, available. When the "Nacho Average Nachos" arrived, despite my explicit request for no protein, they contained a pork-like meat (which was listed as "Steak" on our receipt). This not only went against my dietary preference but also led to further confusion regarding the menu item. Additionally, the appetizer portion of steak nachos we shared amongst the four of us was priced at $15 for a mere eight nachos, equating to nearly $2 per nacho, which I find to be an inappropriate and excessive charge for such a small serving. My individual meal, based on the quantity and quality, should not have exceeded $10.79.
Beyond the pricing and food order errors, the overall service was severely lacking. Despite the 92-degree Fahrenheit weather and the presence of outdoor fans, our waitress failed to offer or provide water refills throughout our visit, nor did she check in on our table beyond delivering initial food and drinks. We were repeatedly forced to solicit assistance from other random servers for basic necessities, such as napkins.
Given the cumulative nature of these issues—the deceptive pricing, the incorrect food order, and the inattentive service—we have collectively decided that we will not be returning to any TopGolf location in the future. We had anticipated a pleasant and enjoyable outing, and instead, we were met with significant frustration and...
