Coco Loco Mexican Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Bangor Township

The service on 7/31/2023 was the worst I've ever experienced. We were sat by the hostess quite quickly. Then the non talking hostess put chips and salsa on our table and walked away. We sat there eating our chips for 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table. Finally the waiter came and told us he was confused and if anyone took our order since we had chips and salsa already. We told him no, and he took our entire order. He didn't come back with our drinks for another 10 minutes. We then waited for our food for about 20 more minutes, when other tables that came in after us were already eating. He finally brought our food but didn't bring the tortillas that came with the Jefe Dinner. We flagged down another server and he brought them right away. We never saw our original server again, no drink refills, no "is every thing tasting good", nothing. We were finished and waiting for our bill for over 15 minutes, when I was about to get up and leave ...he shows up. He giggles and says sorry. I wasn't pleased. I asked for our bill, and he went to get it. The bill had a 3% fee on it for credit card usage. Mind you there was a sign at the entrance stating this, so I knew about it. But why was it on there before he knew I was going to use cash or card?? I asked, and he stammered about the sign at the entrance.. I said "I understand the reason, but you didn't know if I was going to pay with card before you printed out the bill. He just look dumb founded, and took my card and receipt which was $44, when he came back it was $48. At this point I was so mad about the whole experience, I just paid and left. The food was greasy, and not flavorful like they used to be. We will not be going back.

There was rice and cheese on the shelving next to our table that looked like it had been there for a couple of shifts....

We had a great family meal on a Saturday night. We had a brief wait for a table for the four of us. Our server arrived immediately with two bowls of chips and two containers of salsa. These provided a great starter. Our drink order was also taken and delivered quickly and our meal orders taken. Our food arrived in less than ten minutes, except for the tortillas my wife, daughter, and I were to each have with our entrees, and my son's corn dog and fries. I noticed all of the servers were also bussing tables and working with the tortilla maker. We received one pack of tortillas in a few minutes. My daughter decided to eat her meal without the tortillas so my wife and I shared the first pack of three. Another pack arrived about 10 minutes later and we had to remind our server about the third pack while we were packing our to-go containers. My son needed ketchup for his fries and I went up to the bar and was told by a staff member she would bring it to our table. A couple of minutes later, we heard her tell our server that we wanted some ketchup. Our server was very friendly and polite, but seemed to be spread a little thin for the number of people in the restaurant. Overall, everyone really enjoyed their food. After many years of a great experience, I've just had the worst experience and will not be going back, take-out or not. 1. I ordered a chicken&cheese quesadilla, and only got a cheese one. The cheese wasn't even melted but still in little shreds. 2. I ordered 3 extra tortillas in addition to the three that already came with the fajitas. They were so dry and crispy they just crumbled when I tried to unfold them. 3. The toppings plate for my fajitas was completely forgotten and never put in the bag. 4. We ordered a side of queso for my daughter's nachos and got a container of hot salsa that she would not even try. 5. My husband drove back to the restaurant, 20 minutes away, and was given another, correct, quesadilla, but it was still cold and congealed. We were given a side of cheese, but not the liquid kind that we ordered, but shredded. And when my husband showed them the photo of the tortillas cracking, he was told "That's why we put the extra ones in the bag." Like they have them to us out of generosity, when I clearly purchased them. We did not get any tortillas as replacement. We were not offered a portion of our bill back in consolation or treated well in any part of this experience....
