Came to try this restaurant because it was recommended to us. To start we went on a Sunday which I know it will be a little packed. At the entrance no one greets you or asks your name to be on the waiting list. We waited like 20 min to be seated which is not bad but then after we sat down and ask for a high chair it never arrived, I have to physically stand up and get it I wouldn’t mind that much but high chairs were all across the restaurant from where we were seated. After that took the waitress more than 15 min to come and ask for our drinks. I noticed they are way under staff because there were only 3 ladies serving, seating, cleaning tables, and charging which it makes the service super slow. After 10 min they brought our drinks and as I was ready to tell the waitress our order she was gone took another 10 or 15 min to come back and take our order. That’s more than an hour just to order our food and it took another 25 min to bring us our food to the table and it was cold not a little warm but cold like it had been seating there waiting for the waitress to grab it and take it to us. I order the Bistec a la Mexicana it the meat was tender an it had a good taste, my husband order the Carne asada plate the meat was good but it had a hair on it🤢. the hand made tortillas where a little too thick and broke really easily, my daughter order the enchilada with mole plate she said it was not good at all I did not tried it. The horchata was not bad but not good either. After all we did not enjoy our meal here only because of the service. I think they should hire more personnel so they can give a...
Read moreI'll be perfectly honest with you.... POOR QUALITY, NO FLAVOR, OVERPRICED. I'm from Detroit where you can get some of the best Mexican food you've ever had. If there's one thing I can't stand.... It's being taken advantage of. Charging someone 8 dollars for 2 cheese enchiladas is absolutely freaking ridiculous. Even if the quality of the food was incredible, it still wouldn't be worth that price ever. The beans where watered down, rice was flavorless. The overall meal had barely any flavor at all. So on top of being overcharged you skimped on my meal quality too. On my initial order I asked the waitress how much tamales where, and it was at the 4 dollar range a piece, and I immediately said no way... but she didn't say a thing about charging me the same amount for a cheaper item..... I felt so ripped off walking out the door. If I lived here I would never come back. If you expected this review not to happen, you shouldn't have taken advantage of me, and overcharged me for low quality flavorless food. You have a cool building, and it seemed family oriented, you proved looks can be deceiving. For future reference always be up front how much something is going to cost, because when you pull that stuff,...
Read moreSmall, local Mexican restaurant serving classic fare at reasonable prices. We enjoyed a pleasant meal here. Chips, salsa and beans (yes, refritos!) were promptly brought out upon arrival and refilled without a pause in the great service. Beverages were served in 32 oz glasses and quickly refilled.
Our food was brought out very fast! Yes, the beans are on the thin side, but tasty. The enchiladas were made using smaller than average tortillas (if you are used to the larger chains who use 8" tortillas you are in for a shock) but they tasted very nice. The staff had no issues with our lactose free requests (so many big places act offended, or worse, play dumb). While it may look out of date on the outside, this place has on the inside what is lacking elsewhere: great service, reasonable prices and nice food in a no - rush...
