Santiago's Taco Shop — Restaurant in Banning

The ONLY thing I don't like/agree with is Santiago's raising the price of their tacos from $1 + tax to $1.10 + tax. I'm still giving them 5 stars because the food is great, they keep the place clean & Air conditioned, unlike their competitors on the very same street (Ramsey Blvd.) , the staff is always nice & professional, they have A great salsa bar compared to other taco joints, you get A good portion size for your money etc. But according to an employee here, the owner raised the price of their tacos because of the state's minimum wage raise which ofcourse, long time customers like myself, do not like. I still continue to come here sometime but I don't come here every single Tuesday like I used to just because of that price rising. I have looked & found other great taco joints in near by cities that still sell tacos for just $1 / 99cents & did not raise their price because of the minimum wage raise. If Santiago's would've never raised their prices then I would've never looked elsewhere & found other dollar taco restaurants. I know people personally who has also stopped coming here period & go else where for 99cent tacos all because Santiago's raised the price. Santiago is a place where you will receive delicious food. Their prices are reasonable and you will receive a good amount of food where 2 people can eat off the same dish.

My son got a sausage burrito 07/01 @ $7.75 which he enjoyed; nevertheless, I left due to the customer service which the cashier act as I did not exist, was disappointed and left.

The 1 star due is to the cashier is racist or just like certain individuals. I have been to Santiago several times because I believe in supporting local businesses.

My experience have been awful I walk in Santiago that particular cashier is working. She goes behind the counter and acts like she busy until someone speaks Spanish she smiles and serve them 1st.

I will not support this business anymore due too the service I have received over the several times I have been there.

As I said Santiago has great food and service if the cashier likes you but for me it's a no go because I tried. I'm apologize if i offended anyone but i do not apologize for the experience i had.

I arrived at this place with my boyfriend and upon entry we could already smell a weird smell just from inside this restaurant, then as we were approaching to the register to order all we could see was flies flying around everywhere including inside the kitchen which I should’ve just walked out at that moment but I wanted to give them a chance. As if that wasn’t enough I went to the condiments on the side to get salsa and cucumbers, as I was pulling out the cucumbers with the pliers I seen a disgusting dead fly on them as well as on the counter part where you lay your food to put the condiments . If you like your food to be clean or not to potentially have fly guts in your condiments I suggest just do not come here . First time and last time and the food wasn’t good at all, waste of money .
