Magic subs and gyros — Restaurant in Barberton

Wife and I just moved to the area and are trying to check out all the local places. This one unfortunately missed the mark pretty big. Might be tempted to give it a second chance but it'll be awhile.

We both got a meal and a drink and it came to $35 so already not off to a great start. There were only 2 other people eating inside but it took 40 minutes to get our food. A lot of to go orders, but still, expected some kind of priority for dine in. The cashier and the woman who brought our food said a quick apology , but that was about it.

My wife didn't finish her food, took it home just to toss it out. She got the Italian sub and pickle fries. The sub was incredibly dry according to her. I took a bite and thought it was extremely lackluster for the price point. It definitely could have used mayo, oil, vinegar, etc though.

The pickle fries were okay, very crunchy but decent flavor.

I got a specialty menu item that was a 1/2 pound burger with various toppings and fries. There were so many fries I could barely see my sandwich. However, the fries were cold, despite the long wait... and unseasoned entirely. They reminded me of fair fries which isn't the end of the world but some salt would have been nice.

The burger was good and I enjoyed it, my wife also liked it but unfortunately that didn't make up for 3/4 of our order not being very good and taking a long time.

Also a note that it is VERY loud inside. Phone ringing off the hook. Clanking of the spatulas on the grill. Some games next to the booths. Definitely not a quiet place.

We were very disappointed with this visit and hope next time is better, if...

I didn't order or go inside that's why I didn't do 5 stars for everything but I have been wanting to try this place for awhile and when I came home after work the husband finally got us subs and my Italian sub was waiting. Oh what a treat that sub was amazing... I love how thin the tomatoes were I can't stand big cuts of raw tomatoes... The bread was the best part of my sub. My husband said when he got the food home the kids opened the fries and the steam was rising in their faces, then my daughter said this is too hot.... Ok who doesn't like hot fries... Teenagers..... When I got home they were cold but that didn't matter they were still good, especially with the vinegar.......

Went to order online and was delighted to see the battered fries were finally back in stock. Called to make sure then before I placed my order and they confirmed that yes they’re back.

Placed an online order, picked it up, got the old soggy nasty fries. Went to check online again and they changed them back to out of stock after I ordered.

So, why not call me and tell me you’re out of what I ordered? You had my number.

Also, battered fries cost more, and I didn’t even get the fries I ordered.

Won’t be back for a while.
