First and foremost, I'd like to say that this place use to be great. I use to love spending my time and money here. The new management "shift leaders" are very rude and unkind to dashers. I am currently writing this review as both today. I can't confirm an order at this restaurant if they don't place it on the counter and watch me confirm the order so I can take it and leave. Sitting there, dealing with a hostage situation every time lately when I get a skoops order is ridiculous. Treating me like a thief when I come to pick an order up is a no-go. Don't pick up orders from here, they are very stingy. Last time I picked one up the other day, I confirmed and he still held onto the order. I am beyond repulsed by this type of behavior by shift leaders. Old shift leaders were so much more kinder here. The amount of disrespect I have encountered this week from the one young fellow in general is appalling. Treats me like I'm a crack headed thief or something, I have never been so outraged in my life over someone's choice in management. I have talked to the owners here many times before, this is the first time in the past week I have been treated like this. Violating my dash contract and trying to push me into accepting something they refuse to hand to me all bc they won't set it down on the counter. So I can see it in front of me atleast. Nobody is gonna steal your stuff, I won't confirm unless I have it. It is common sense. The owners should have a talk with their shift leaders. I witnessed someone picking up the order I cancelled bc they wouldn't give it to me. Then I notice they set it on the counter for that person and watched her confirm. What's the deal. Why can't you set it out for me like that ? Also, took them 10 minutes to get my daughters cotton candy drink out ( she didn't want the milkshake one the ice cotton candy drink, but nooo ) the window bc I ordered after I ended that order and they gave her a cotton candy milkshake instead after making me wait. I don't know these people, very immature and bratty behaviors from young adults. Id rather get a McDonald's ice cream 🍦 it's way faster and I don't get the 3rd degree from someone who doesn't know me personally to have an issue with me. They just lost a customer and I will no longer accept orders from Skoops. They treat me like a criminal and I have never given them a reason to and also treat others better. I won't waste my time here and I hope the nice owners who own this ice cream shop can fix their management inside to treat people with more respect. Btw, skoops has cameras also, so tell me why it's hard for the guy to let go of an order so I can confirm I have it ? Again, how do I confirm what I dont have in my possession? Is he just wanting a problem with me ? I don't like problems out of thin air. Makes me sad to see and I won't be back till it's fixed. Also, when he sees me, he pushes the females out of the way to handle me as I see. It doesn't work bc he will not force me to lie and confirm a order I don't physically have in front of me. Sorry, not sorry. I was mistreated a few times this week and I'm done with the disrespect for no reason. Go ahead and block me from orders. It will be a blessing not to be mistreated by young, green behind the ear adults who don't know how to treat people working who have never given them a reason to be that way with them. You don't have a right to treat me poorly and assume I'm going to be a thief, that's a bad business move. Lose business if...
Read moreThis place deserves all the praise that it gets. It works very hard to create good ice cream, a reliable product, and a good experience. The only thing that I personally have ever experienced that I might post here just as kind of a recommendation to the owners. Is to put something in front of non-spots. For example the the xd outspace next to the handicap spot and the space next to that. When you're really busy and cars park there. What ends happening is when they try to back out they almost hit people that are waiting to get their product and are in line. That's not the customer's fault at all. It's not really the people working within the buildings fault. But the last thing you want is owners is for a doordasher or somebody who's rushing in parks in a spot. That's not really a spot to back out really quickly. Hit a kid and keep going and then your business ends up in the news for a totally different reason than it has been. Either put cones or put pylons or pillars somewhere. Because unfortunately I think we've all come to the realization that you can put up as many signs as you want. People are never going to follow the signs. And I want to see you guys around for many, many years to come. So this is me saying hey, there were a couple of instances just while I was waiting in line on the right side of the building where people almost backed into little kids or strollers or adults. That's why the lines aren't there. I'm sure is that you see that those spots would impede upon the lines for the building. So you may have to take it one step further and put something to physically block people from parking there.
Also one other small thing. I love that you guys have branded merchandise. But to have your employees shill or try to sell people merchandise when they have lines going all the way back to the parking lot back is probably not the smartest idea. It may not seem like it takes much time. But to shill the water bottles in total with explanation may take about 30 seconds. If you've got 20 people in line 20* 30 is 30 minutes. So in the process of getting that long line down, your employees have now added 30 minutes to the amount of time. People are waiting in line just by trying to sell your branded product. Maybe when it's a slower day or when the line is slower, they can take time to interact with the customer. Get to know them. Explain the benefits of your branded products. But when you got a super long line, that's something you probably want to put on...
Read moreWent on a Thursday evening. It was pretty crowded which I wasnt expecting since it was a Thursday. The lines moved very incredibly slow. I came out just to get the churro sundae that a friend showed me on Facebook. Some sundaes they claim can be made dairy free, however that just applies to the ice cream. For example, nothing about the churro sundae was dairy free except the ice cream (according to staff). The cookies, or donuts, or another part of a sundae isnt dairy free so essentially it's just the ice cream. I felt super bummed by this but oh well. The young lady at the window made me nervous because she almost didnt know they had dairy free ice cream. Needless to say I opted for a vanilla cone and it was okay. The actual cone itself tasted gross and weird. The hubby got a rootbeer float that he said was okay. I asked the young lady if the person who handles money also handles the food/ice cream and she said they usually do both. I did have to tell her that I did not want anybody handling money to handle my food with the same gloves. Touching money and credit cards then touching food is pretty gross and I imagine I dont need to explain this. Needless to say, another gentleman made my cone. They def should have a different person for each task since they are wearing gloves that they are not changing. I'm not sure if I will return. I do however appreciate them offering a dairy free option no matter...
