First off, let me say the young lady taking my order was great. It isn't her fault that she was maybe 5'3 and the podium that she was standing behind was 5'1 and like ten feet away. That was the fault of the person who thought it was a good idea to set up an order taking spot before you get to the menu. Not bright. Dumb to be honest. You have to turn off your car just to place an order because of the distance. It's stupid. Next why did you even need to redesign the building? It's been fine for the last 138 years. You didn't need the largest Dairy Queen in BARNESVILLE, GA. The town barely has people. Also, you didn't need to build it all the way to the road and have an outdoor sitting area (with no benches or seats) because 1. Nobody wants to sit in Georgia heat and eat ice cream. 2. Nobody wants to eat ice cream outside in the winter. Dumb. Did your uncle come from across the sea to see your first business and ask why it was so small and you declared to the sky that you would build the largest DQ of all time? Again dude, it's BARNESVILLE. I'll drive to the gas station/crack motel DQ in Locust Grove next time. You're not Chick-fil-A, let your employees work inside and let the customer see the menu.
After letting someone read my review they said that I put the word dumb in it too many times and that I shouldn't say stupid. They were wrong. This place is both...
Read moreEasily the best combination of value and quality in terms of fast food in Barnesville, but and this is a big but, only when the 5 buck and 6 buck lunches are available otherwise this is around the same value (slightly higher quality still) as other fast food in the area. Getting a drink, a main dish, a side and a desert for $5/$6 in Barnesville is great given the quality of these items is not like a dollar menu item at other places. Do not misunderstand me though, Dairy Queen is still worth going to when these specials are not on offer, but only because of their ice cream selection in the form of their blizzards/sundaes/shakes. On the normal menu, I would not bother with getting the panini sandwiches as you could make something better quality at home for a comparable if not better price. The rest of the menu I think is standard fair for fast food, if you are a big hot dog fan it's worth noting the coney here is probably the best you can do in Barnesville. My personal recommendation is only come around when the $5/$6 lunch special is going on and to try a lemon lime artic rush as your substituted drink (costs about a buck more). When the special is not going on, go get some ice cream and experiment with what ingredients they will let you mix together (my friends personal favorite the "all cookie" blizzard where you blend Cookie Dough and Oreos into...
Read moreRenovation worked out well and looks good. However, same management, who might not know they should answer a ringing phone or at least have a recording on saying what the hours are or maybe like we’re back being opened. Phone system hasn’t been set up or maybe it’s never worked.. I dunno.
So, whenever I order a blizzard they always seem to not put a lot of the candy mix in the shake. Other places do more. Not to mention they get orders confused and make in wrong priority. Nothing beats watching folks have their order taken after you and served before you. I can’t say I’ve seen this place operate fast, but then again maybe I just hit the lottery with...
