EDIT: The owner reached out to me a while ago & wanted to make things right. This was an amazing gesture and -- although I haven't had the opportunity to return to the restaurant yet -- I'm changing my rating from 3 to 5 stars. I'm confident the 5-star rating will be well earned when we do get the pleasure of visiting again!

First of all, the food is outstanding! The Caesar salad was amazing, and the lasagna was among the best I've had. Five stars.

Second, the service was excellent. Tabitha is a great waitress; she checked on us often & never let our tea or Coke get empty. Also five stars.

Third, the place was stylishly decorated. Every element of decor looked like it belonged exactly where it was. Again, five stars.

So why did I give an overall 3-star rating?

First, a minor thing that would not have detracted from the rating, had it been the only complaint. The lasagna was one of the meals that was to come with a side salad or cup of soup. I asked for a side Caesar. When the bill came, I was charged an extra $2. It's true that the menu stated a "deluxe" salad would be $2 extra, but nowhere did I see that anything other than the house salad was considered "deluxe."

Now the big black mark (IMO). The chicken mushroom marsala was listed as $19. On the bill, it was $21. The manager explained that it was a typo and was supposed to be $21. He refused to honor the price printed on the menu. YES, it's only $2, but if you can't trust a restaurant to charge what the menu says, what else can you not trust them about?

Honestly, the meal was worth the price...but trust is worth more. Had they not broken that unwritten, unspoken bond of trust between business and customer, this would have been a perfect experience and...

My husband and I have been in a couple times since Tracy took over, and in our experiences, the previous owner did much better. At least Bill was consistent and proper. We visited last week with in-laws, and the atmosphere was hostile to say the least. Overheard the manager berating staff and being plain lazy. Several times she would watch as waiters and the food runner struggled, all while standing or sitting with her phone in hand. We sat outside a large walkway that had a bathroom sign above it. From there we could see as she sat in a chair, while the food runner and waiters had to work around her. In my younger years, I worked in a restaurant so I understand job dynamics, but that is incredibly inappropriate. At one point she came past our table on FaceTime with someone, talking quite loudly. After receiving our food my husband got up to go to the bathroom. He was standing outside the doors while waiting and was bumped into by a kitchen staff member. He didn’t get the boys name but he was on the shorter side, wore glasses, and had a close shaved head. He didn’t even offer an apology and just got a drink before returning to the kitchen. Needless to say, the restaurant is going down hill very fast. Not our first bad experience with them but we wanted to give benefit of the doubt. Needless to say, a change of pace would probably be in their...

First time there was a good experience, but last week was totally different. The food was ok, but when we attempted to check out, the credit card system was inoperable. After waiting for 30 minutes, I asked the manager to comp our meals. She became very defensive and after running our credit card, her option to complete the checkout process was to sign a napkin! She also brought a receipt showing that our card was declined, which was a HUGE error, because our card was perfectly fine...their system was down. So, if our card was declined, and she wanted us to sign a receipt on a napkin, that was a setup for potential credit card fraud! After refusing to sign her NAPKIN receipt and our asking to comp the meal, her words were "you can just sit here and wait!" We're now into 45 minutes!!! If I were a manager and my customers had to wait this long on the system to come back up, I would have comped the meals! That good will would have gone a LONG way in helping us return to the restaurant and give a good review. With the manager's rude treatment and poor handling of this situation, I'm writing a bad review and will not return to this...

Stopped at Mangia on Main on our tour of the south. This is a gem of a restaurant located in the smaller town of Barnesville, GA. From the menu we tried the Crab Arancini, a salad, spaghetti with meat sauce and the limoncello cake for dessert. All of the dressings are made in house. I had a Mediterranean dressing which was essentially a very good vinaigrette with feta incorporated in. While I normally wouldn’t order spaghetti when out, I really wanted to try the meat sauce which did not disappoint. I also do not normally eat dessert but was convinced to try a bite of the limoncello. I don’t believe I have ever had such a light and fluffy cake. Wow! Wes, our server, was very attentive, engaging and entertaining. The chef/owner made his rounds to each of the tables while we were there. The restaurant itself is very clean AND inviting. Definitely worth a stop.

I went to this Italian restaurant Mangia on Main and it was wonderful! It is located down town next to cute shops and I loved it! Mangia on Main was decorated for Valentine’s Day and we went for my birthday! It was so special. The waiter Wes did an outstanding job helping us pick food and everything was delicious 😋! We ordered the sausage and mushroom flat bread as an appetizer. I think it’s an entree but we started with it. Then I got a special ravioli dish and my sister got salmon and brussel sprouts. We both got a house salad with their homemade Italian dressing. Everything was perfect!!! Wes did a great job serving us and he went out of his way to make my birthday special. I highly recommend this restaurant even if you live outside of Barnesville. It is worth the drive!

Great place for a date. My wife and I celebrated our 16th wedding anniversary there. Service was fantastic. Cam did a great job serving us. We had pita bread and artichoke dip for appetizers and they were some of the best we have had. I had the prime rib (Fri/Sat only) and it was amazing. Wife had shrimp scampi linguine and she said it was good, if maybe a bit bland. She said when we come back, she may try something else. Speaking of something else, the menu has a good bit of variety, so look at the menu ahead of time before booking a reservation. I highly recommend booking a reservation. We had to wait about an hour to be seated, but it was worth it. Once we were seated, drinks and orders came to us in reasonable time, so no issues there. I can’t wait to go back!
