We had bit of difficulty finding the access to the restaurant from the main road, but that may have been a silly mistake on our part. But it's just up the long rand at the very end of all the shops. It's positioned at the top of a high hill overlooking the main road and Berkeley Springs. It has a nice view of the mountain side, outside of the road view. The restaurant isn't that big so this should be kept in mind if you are planning to go with a larger group. We were in Berkeley Springs for a family vacation and so we had a larger group of people, so about 8 people, and I'm glad we made reservations. They do have outdoor seating but it had just rained so everyone was seated inside and it filled up fast. I recommend making reservations just in case. The cabin rental recommend this restaurant for its crab soup, and while it was definitely delicious it seemed a bit expensive, but it was real crab so... the cup was kinda small and was $6.50, the bowl which could have been a decent meal was $10ish. They didn't have a very large entree choice but it was enough to cover the different tastes of my family members. All the portions were pretty big (besides the crab soup cup) and we definitely ordered too much. The food was delicious, for the exception of the Mac and cheese side. It had a very strong taste that was very different from what one would typically expect, I personally did not like it. The server was very friendly and helpful for food suggestions, but she did forget some if our requests for small things like napkins or sauces and things of that nature, but I think it was due to the fact that they were a bit understaffed for servers at the time. Overall, it was a nice experience and meal. I'd definitely recommend it.

This is a relatively new restaurant in our area, built from the ground up so everything appears to be ADA compliant (which can be hard to come by in our area). Easy enough to get into from the parking lot, wide isles and easy seating. Anyone with mobility issues shouldn't have a problem. Hostess is right by the door and we were seated right away. The menu does seem to be a bit limited and the prices were in line with what you would expect. We were a little spoiled with the quantity of the fried green beans at the now shut down Earthdog but these tasted great! We ordered the fried green beans (almost $6), the 6 boneless wings with bourbon sauce also about $6 (they have about 6 choices for sauces) and the seafood platter that included a flounder filet, a crab cake, clams, fried shrimp and choice of two sides. We got the salad and potatoes. ($21.99) This platter can easily feed two people all on it's own. The salad was unexpectedly good. From other places, you usually get some of that iceberg bagged stuff. The dressing was served on the side. Nice touch, as I had forgotten to ask. The potatoes were a real treat! I haven't had screwed potatoes in decades (and that's what they looked like, although thicker). The flounder was OK but pretty thin and the clams (a touch over cooked). That might be me, I'm picky about my clams. I don't know what brand of bleu cheese dressing they have, but we were really impressed. My husband loved it. The service was really good. We almost went for the chicken fried steak meal $12.95 - I think). All in all it was a good experience and we will probably try it again. I hope they can add some more non-fried choices on the menu. PS: They also have a full bar.

I never leave bad reviews, nor do I tell management to remove my food from the bill, but there's a first time for everything. I figured I would leave an actual honest review, so people can read about real experiences and not reviews left by locals that are being nice to support a business.

We've waited for this place to open for months, and months... So we were extremely excited to dine here. I'm a simple person so I typically order a cheeseburger and french fries, it's hard to mess that up right? Wrong.

The cheeseburgers here come with chips, but the waitress told me I could add fries for $1. I told her to add them and after finishing the order she said "Oh nevermind, we ran out of the bags of fries even though we had over 50, you'll have to have chips unless you want something else" so I ordered the chips and added a salad. My husband got the crab cake meal and my daughter got chicken strips with mac and cheese.

In an attempt to make conversation with the awkward waitress, we were talking about my daughter's recent birthday and she said "I'll get everyone to come sing happy birthday" which was nice of her.

She didn't come back to check on us while we waited for our food, which wasn't long. When we got our food, my husband was missing the condiments from his sandwich, he had been intrigued by the sauce he read on the menu that goes on the crab cake so when he asked where that was she said "Oh, most people don't like it so I didn't have them include it" since she doesn't get to choose how people receive their food, we told her to bring it out.

My chips were burnt, so I only ate a few after my salad. When I was about to take a bite of my burger she popped out and said "Dessert or check?" when I hadn't even been close to finishing, nor was my family. She was dismissed and I took a bite of my sandwich, and almost threw up in my mouth. I ALWAYS order my meat medium, so that wasn't the issue, this meat tasted bad. I can't explain it as I've never experienced this, but when she came back again I flat-out said "This is the worst food I've ever had, something is wrong with the meat, I can't eat it". My plate was literally still full, she said "ok, but the build your own burgers taste a bit.... " I interrupted her, as there is no excuse for that and said, I'm not paying for that, get your manager because she needs to know about issues like this. She drops the bill off and goes to get her. My daughter's lemonade was charged. No big deal but it's included in the meal. I asked her about that when she came back to tell me the manager would be a few minutes and she said "Only certain drinks are included in the kid's meal", so instead of doing her job and telling us that when we ordered, she just took the order and walked away.

Fast forward to the manager, she did remove my food from the bill, as well as my daughter's drink which she said was actually included, just rang up wrong. She said "Sorry about all of that, we are changing things up. I'll let the cooks know about the burger". Changing things? You just opened four days ago.

$24 for a crab cake sandwich with chips, a kids Mac and cheese with chicken strips and a side salad. Not bad, but not worth it. Oh! You can't forget about the air conditioner vents under the table blowing on your legs, it's not very pleasant when it's 55 degrees, and raining.

There was never a birthday song, which isn't big deal, but my daughter was told that, I believe she was looking forward to it because she seemed disappointed when it didn't happen.

Inexperienced servers, inexperienced management, not the best cooks and excuses. We won't...

We went here thinking that the reviews seemed fake...we were wrong. This place checks the boxes for every mistake possible when trying to open a restaurant.

It is a very nice building..and that is unfortunately the best thing about it. Thanks to the overly chatty host who did slow down the servers even more than one would think possible because of her gossiping, we heard the whole story...business partners leaving, money missing, employees up and disappearing, hiring of friends rather than qualified people and even an apparent affair involving staff members. Said host told all of this to an older couple whom she apparently knew - right in the middle of the restaurant with other tables easily in ear shot, ours being one of them. While it was entertaining for all of the wrong reasons, since the shown isn't guaranteed, it is not covered in the rating.

As for the food, I had their big burger, already forgot the name. It was basically a double version of their other named burger. So 2 patties instead of one. My wife got one of the burgers with a single patty. We did not realize this was the difference at the time. 30-40 minutes into our visit, the waitress said it was almost ready but that mine took a little longer because it was thicker. 10 minutes later, it came out. This is where it just being 2 patties was realized...which negated what the waitress had said about it being thicker. My wife joked that they might be using a forman grill. While funny at the time, based on everything that transpired while we were there, it could possibly be true. That said, the food wasn't actually bad just pretty bland and warm (it was cooked through, guessing it sat for a bit after it was done) at best - definitely not worth the wait. I view burgers as the best measure of any restaurant that serves them. They are a simple food item where the minor choices made really determine the outcome.

Our waitress was pretty good on things like drink refills and checking in until the food came. After that, we had to catch her zipping by to even get the check, though.

The prices are very high for the quality of food. Like double what they should be.

Even while the options are pretty slim around here, this one is really best avoided unless they really turn...

We have been here a few times. This time we came here because other places had a wait and we not only got a table right away but service was impressively quick even with the outside being pretty full and inside about half full. Cannot remember our servers name but he was skinny with glasses and had various tattoos on his arms. He was delightful! He never let our drinks go empty, he was very attentive and super friendly! Definitely need more servers like him in that industry 😊. The food portions for the price were great, we had to take home boxes when my hubby usually never does. There are a couple complaints though. Places that have the menu items priced are always a plus in our area because of the low income population. But A lot of the menu items either do not have a price or says "market price". That was definitely a deterrent on some things but If there was a paper with those prices included with the menus, that may have gotten us to choose a higher priced item. And second, the spiciness was SOOOOO overpowering with the brisket dinner with no warning on the menu of it. I like spicy foods to a point but I could barely taste the meat from the inferno heat on my tongue. I do have a sensitive stomach too and because of the spice to it, I left with an upset stomach after eating only 1/4 of it and almost had to ask the hubby to pull over so I could vomit. I did enjoy it though later this evening once my stomach settled and I rinsed the meat the best I could (it smelled so good so I will go to extremes to NOT waste brisket! 😂) still had a little kick but did not upset my stomach and was delicious. I don't know if it was mistakenly made that way but if it's always like that, there really should be the word "spicy" somewhere on the menu with that item especially when its THAT SPICY. I still do recommend this place! The hubby had the country fried steak and we had the pulled pork nachos for an app and both were big portions and delicious! Great staff and beautiful/clean...
