My friends and I were on our 30th Annual Girls’ Getaway Weekend in Berkeley Springs. As you can imagine we’ve had many years to try different things and perfect our Berkeley Springs experiences. This year, however, we came across the Berkeley Springs Salt Cave when we were planning our trip and decided to give it a go. What a fantastic experience! We each got a 60 minute massage and our therapist, Laura, was outstanding! Janice, the owner, welcomed us warmly and we left knowing that we had made a new friend. She was incredibly informative and just a lovely person to have met. For anyone looking for a unique experience and some relaxation, this is a great place to find it and it is group friendly! Don’t walk… run!

Love the Berkeley Springs Salt Cave! I unfortunately don’t live in the area to visit more often, but I visit each time I come up for a weekend stay here in Berkeley Springs. I feel like breathing is easier and has more “clarity” after a session. Friendly service and nicely clean accommodations. Would like to HIGHLY recommend her handmade soaps (cold processed, hard bars that last longer than any store bought brand). The low ingredient list and pure ingredients create such a rich, creamy lather I actually use the lather for shaving my legs, too…I bought some during my first visit and was happy to restock when I revisited. Stop by to shop or to “get salted,” you won’t be disappointed in the least!

What a great experience; we've officially been salted! The owner was very friendly and informative. Before entering the cave we were provided with a clean pair of socks and a locker to keep our belongings in. The last 10 minutes we seemed to get a burst energy and we left with our mouths/lips tasting salty. Dress comfortable and warm, it's about 68° in the cave. Normally they don't allow phones/cameras in the room. But, we were the only ones in it, so we were allowed to. We, also, purchased different homemade soaps and beard oil that smelt amazing. 10/10 Recommend!

Although I work at the Salt Cave, I waited until I had actually been “salted” to leave a review. I’ll start by saying that the owners are very welcoming, friendly, professional people. Every little detail inside is carefully thought out and comes together beautifully. Walking into the building that houses the store/salt cave/infrared sauna/massage room is like stepping into a relaxation oasis. I didn’t know what the cave experience would be like, but it is surprisingly relaxing and pleasant. After a few minutes, I felt my sinuses start to drain (a small package of tissues were provided to each one of us) and could feel myself breathing better. It’s a nice way to just get some quiet time, and just let your mind drift. Or, if you’re like my sister, you could simply fall asleep. The sauna was fantastic! I felt my muscles become more pliable (massage therapists have a weird habit of self-massaging at any given moment) and my skin felt softer after a few minutes. They even provided some cold, peppermint-scented towels to refresh ourselves afterwards. In summary, I highly recommend making the salt cave one of your stops when visiting...

The Salt Cave was not at all what we expected. If you have a party of 6 people, then you have the room to yourself and you can relax or talk while in there getting your halotherapy. But if you have a party of 3, you share the small room with other people. We shared the room with a couple, and were told to sleep during the halotherapy. So we rested in our anti-gravity chairs, while the couple next to us took a nap. It felt intrusive and too closed in with strangers and no masks. I had no idea we would not have our own private room for the 3 of us. It doesn't give this detail anywhere on the website, nor when you call to make the appt. And I assumed the rooms were private to your party. But there is only 1 room, with 6 chairs, so make sure you have 6 people...

What a beautiful experience! The owner was absolutely charming and exuded warmth. The experience in the cave was cozy and the vibration of the room, phenomenal! The chairs were comfy, the temperature comfortable and the meditation music transformative.

The retail shop was small but full of delightful handmade self care items. They have a beautiful collection of crystals and stones, reasonably priced. The fidget soaps were adorable!

I went in with a cough and some congestion from allergies and came out breathing a lot easier and coughing less then when I entered. At roughly 65 cents per minute, you cannot beat the price!

Just moved to the area a few months ago but this was my first visit and I already know I will soon...
