I've been here many times and spent hundreds of dollars on gas and a lot of money on sandwiches and two different times I've had Subway staff be rude to me There's a couple people there that are really nice and then the other day I encountered a different person an older woman and she didn't smile she didn't look like she even wanted to be there and I try to be nice to everybody and she mumbled something to me at the end like here's your sandwich or whatever and I said how come people don't say thank you anymore and she practically yelled at me and said "I said it TWICE!"And I didn't say how come you didn't thank me, anyway I apologized for not hearing her if she allegedly said it I just didn't hear her And I was very kind and said please don't be upset at me. It was noisy in there and I said I'm sorry I didn't hear you and she continued to give me a dirty look and she walked away, that makes me not even want to go in there anymore. What the heck? Is that how customers should be treated? I told the guy working at the main counter who's always very nice Jeff and I didn't say well go and say something to her, I didn't I just told him how she should show just a little bit of kindness. I worked serving the public for over 30 years and tried to be nice to everyone. And people should be thanking us and I always thank them and if she did say thank you I didn't hear her say it. But she got so incensed at me that I was practically in tears by the time I went to the counter to pay for a bag of chips. But I do commend Jeff for being nice. There have been other people that I've tried to be nice to or chat too because I live alone and when I go out in public I just like to be nice to people and if they are so miserable then maybe they should not work there. Upon getting here, and heading what was said to the "associate", I can only assume they are under qualified to make a sandwich. She ordered a 'chicken bacon & ranch' sandwich from their menu. And this girl working there chose to put chicken, bacon, and cheese. Literally nothing else. I'm flabbergasted how even an ingredient in the title of the sandwich was left out. My sister had a big order for dinner, and was grabbing some chips, and wasn't there to babysit this girl for the two pre-made sandwiches in the order. Both only had meat and cheese, when she was not told to exclude anything, and didn't ask. Read moreBad customer service. DO NOT GO THERE TO GET YOUR SUB IN PERSON. I was told that they attend online orders as a priority, specifically in the afternoon hours which is ridiculous. Employees do not acknowledge that you are waiting for your sub. Employees needs more customer service training. Reason that they're are rude and do not apologize at all. The manager is not anywhere to be found. This is the only Subway in Berkeley Springs town. I am not getting a sub from this establishment anymore. PLEASE GO TO Hancock Maryland, to get your subway that has better a customer service. No idea if the owner knows about this food establishment.
