I'm a bit annoyed because Albasha has great food. Everything is good. But I'm leaving this for whoever is in charge that can change this: PLEASE PUT THE SALAD IN A SEPARATE CONTAINER WHEN WE ORDER TAKEOUT. This has been a recent development. I dont know why this is happening. I order a gyro plate like I normally do. It comes with a salad. Instead of having it in a separate container, it was put where my Grecian sauce should go. This is so so annoying! Please stop! The salad gets all warmed up and weird by the time I get home. I can't add my dressing and shake it to disperse easily. When the salad is in that tiny compartment, I cant disperse the dressing well and it get everywhere when I try stirring it. I have just not recieved my Grecian sauce in the past. But when I do and the salad is like this, I get like a small dollop right on top of the warm gyro. THIS MAKES THE SAUCE SOLIDIFY WEIRDLY AND I CAN'T REHEAT THE LEFTOVER GYRO LATER EITHER WITHOUT RUINING THE SAUCE!
Today when I saw this, I asked for the grecian sauce and was charged? An extra dollar? Just for the original amount that I should have gotten?? Please stop. That's literally the only negative feedback I have. Put the salad in a separate container as default. It sucks to have to remember to order it a certain way when it was served that way in the past just fine...
Read moreHave been to many of the Albasha locations, including this one (many times). Tonight, we got the same exact thing as we usually do— vegetarian plate (2 falafel, 2 rice, hummus, no cheese on the salad) and tonight they put the hummus on the plate with the 2 piles of rice the lettuce for the salad and falafel. Well, naturally the rice was all in the hummus and the rice and lettuce was all intertwined. I’m me and I don’t like my food mixed much but I managed with everything but the hummus. We finished eating everything except the hummus by the time our waitress still never once came to check on us. I watched her play on her phone behind the bar and talk to coworkers the entire time we ate, waiting for her to come check on us. I finally call out “ma’am, can we get the check” and she brings it and I asked if I could get a side of hummus by itself because i wouldn’t eat it with rice in it and it’s never come out like that or I’d have asked for it separate. She goes and talks to her boss. He comes to the table saying that’s how they serve it. I was baffled by him and the whole situation. 5 minutes prior, a man dropped his whole plate and he had new food within minutes so I guess I should have dropped the hummus to get another one. Anyway, won’t be back to this location— not that they care. It’s the lack of service and the owner...
Read moreIt's funny that the day I come to leave a review someone has JUST expressed similar views about the owner. My family and I frequent Albasha Sherwood and Bluebonnet ALOT. We do not live in Baton Rouge so going there is out of the way. We order the same thing, a combination spinach salad with no dressing, fried cheese and broiled salmon easy garlic. I ask for the salmon cooked medium. Today we received a regular salad and flavorless, overcooked salmon with plenty of garlic. Even the fried cheese was overcooked. I called and the owner basically blamed me for not checking the food and implied that I did not order what I stated. His words were "what you order is what we make. " Obviously not. He didn't even apologize until I mentioned it. He said if I bring the food back they'll replace the salmon only. No accountability on him or his employees for the mistakes. No customer service. They just lost a customer and he legitimately does not care. Update We decided to high tail it back to Albasha before they closed to return the food since mine wasn't edible. We got our refund without an apology or bit of empathy from those who were present. Bye Albasha. Roman's is...
