Bought a sofa 1/26/20 that fabric was defective delivered May 2020. Fabric was replace and replacement was defective. Store told us had to come pick a new sofa. ** * salesperson was clear that if we picked a sofa that cost more we would have to pay the difference and if picked a sofa that cost less we would be refunded the difference 9/1/20. Also told us they wouldn't refund the difference until we took possession of the new sofa. New sofa delivered in 2/2021. Waited for check to come - I called the store on 6/3/21 to ask about our refund of $499.34 and was SHOCKED to be told we only had a store credit. Never was I told about a store credit and if that were the case I would have refused to buy a new sofa and would have called my visa to cancel the original sale of a defective product. We stayed with Lazy boy because they had stood behind their product. Now completely disappointed. I want the $499.34 or they pick up 2nd sofa and refund $2,154.91 The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) I don't accept their response because it's not true. It's not logical that I would have to pay more if it cost more but not get reimbursed for if cost less. Their product was defective. I don't need anything else from them and at this I never will need anything from them. Logically if I had to pick something else why would I have to wait until I got the new sofa? Why didn't I have to pick something that day to spend all the money? Where is this store policy written and when was it given to me. If * is such a rule follower I would think he would have given me that in writing and made me sign it. I certainly had to so many things when I bought/ordered two sofas from them. This isn't the case of I didn't like my sofa - my sofa was defective. A "reselect" means just that - "We" (Lazy Boy) are taking back our defective sofa and "You" (Mrs. ***) must reselect a new one. "We" (Lazy Boy) do expect you to pay more if you choose a more expensive sofa and if it is less expensive "We" (Lazy Boy) will give you your money back. I'm not asking you to take back the sofa - I am asking Lazy Boy to do what they said they would do. Apparently Lazy Boy wants to...
Read morePurchased a Lazyboy recliner September 2022 special order Arrived December 2022. Chair had problems week of Delivery After a month of wating and several calls they send a repair person to try to fix. The recliner is rubbing on the frame wood to wood. The repair technician change the whole base on the Recliner. This did not correct. After calling over and over complaing I get a call saying Lazyboy Dealer Baton Rouge was taken over by manufacturer and they have a repair company would come out again. The repair technician came out and stated that he has now Idea why they sent him out the chair needs replacing. After no calls from Lazyboy I called which I was told in Febuary that they had to send in to there factory for approval for replacement. Months passed with me calling leaving messages on top of messages. I spoke to the manager Brady in May 2023 and explained problem, he stated "Oh we told you that you could come in and pick another chair out on the floor to exchange out. I went in and look at the chairs on the floor, which was not the color nor the special order leather and accessories that I ordered. Mr Brady informed me that if I wanted what I originally ordered before It would have to pay for special orders. You only get floor models. A few days later after being so frustrated with Lazyboy my wife called and spoke to Mamager Brady which he stated again you can come get a floor model. She said no we paid for the premium leather, treated with certain accessories special ordered this is what we want, again he said no. We asked for a refund at this point . After informing Lazyboys manager we would be seeking legal advise , a instant call was returned asking for my amount paid, credit card number to send refund which we would get within 24 hrs. One week later we call back after no refund, the manager Brady tell us oh we need a copy of your receipt So from December 2022 when I received a recliner from Lazyboy Baton Rouge I am still dealing with a special order chair that I paid for around 3 500 dollars that makes a grinding loud noise when rocking and reclining. Very very very disappointed in the construction on Lazyboy Recliners and...
Read moreWe bought two chairs from LazBoy in Baton Rouge this week. I initially went in with a friend to see the chairs and inventory. We were very pleased with our salesperson Joseph. But I wanted my husband to try the chair and give his approval. He did but we did not purchase it that day because we were still looking at other chairs elsewhere. These chairs are a sizable price and we wanted to get the best for our budget. I went back to the store with credit card in hand to purchase them but had to use another sales person because Joseph was unavailable. The other person was a lady and I didn’t have a great experience. I showed her the cart with the information that was sent to us by Joseph and she immediately set the tone for an undesirable experience by saying that they do not hold chairs. We never asked him to hold them he just said I will move this chair to our back warehouse .They happened to be on clearance. Not sure what brought this on but I told her I was there to buy not hold and if they weren’t there I would look to buy something else. I purchased a warranty plus bought the in house cleaner. All paperwork states as is and no returns no refunds so buyer beware if it is on clearance. I was getting ready to leave and had to go back and ask for the cleaner that I purchased because she didn’t give it to me for whatever reason. It should have been a happy experience but it was not. Hope we get delivery and do not have to communicate with the customer service...
