Los Reyes Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Louisiana

My waiter was very nice and even helped me and was patient while I tried to order in Spanish. The margarita was great and I liked all the different flavors that were available and they offered frozen. During happy hour they double the size of the small. The chips were hot and fresh and sitting on the patio was really nice.

Other than that, the food was good but not super memorable or authentic tasting. I went on taco Tuesday thinking there would be some additional taco specials but it was only on ground beef tacos and one other one. I think he said they were $2 or $3. I ordered the taos al carbon. My waiter explained that I could get different ones instead of all 3 of the same for an upcharge so I got chicken, steak and shrimp so I could try all 3. The portion sizes were smaller than I would expect for dinner sizes and the flavor was just okay. But it did come out quickly after I ordered it.

It wasn't super packed but my waiter had lots of tables so he didn't come back and check super often. He was very thorough and did not rush at all while he was at my table which is probably why it took so long. He was taking his time with all of his tables which was nice. I would return for happy hour margaritas but not necessarily for authentic Mexican.

Based on just food I'd give 3 stars but Anuar's friendly and personable demeanor...

I ordered my food TO-GO and once I got home I realized it wasn’t what I order. I called the manager, he said he’ll remake my order free of charged and let everyone at the restaurant know Well, he didn’t. So, I had to explain to someone that I did speak to a manager and what was going on. I went to pick my food and my order was WRONG AGAIN! At this point I’m aggravated and asked for a refund. An older guy with glasses and gray hair and beard at the restaurant asked if I had my receipt which I did. Then he stated to me, “I’ll give you a refund this time but next time it’s on you to read the menu!” How dare you tell somebody that when I stated exactly what I wanted; chicken, shrimp, rice & grilled veggies with queso! How hard is that???? Your people didn’t follow instructions!!!!! Then when I was talking to him he had his back turn as if he didn’t even care what I was saying. I always go here and I’ve never experienced anything like this. I’ll NEVER...

Terrible customer service. The waitress and manger were so rude. The manager told us “he didn’t care if he lost our business. He wasn’t fixing our order because he didn’t have to, we should have known a small cup of pico was an extra charge and all restaurants charge” when I tried to explain that it wasn’t on the menu and I was never told it would cost extra and that no all restaurants don’t charge, he got very defensive. He talked down to us two women and was such a jerk about it. He very reluctantly and rudely said he would only charge half. I said okay that’s fine, but you just lost business because we will never come back. Not because of the charge, but because of the way you and the waitress have spoken to us. He said “why would I change the charge then if you don’t come back? I will keep your as charge as is” and very rudely walked away. The waitress never tried to apologize. They were completely...
