American Market — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

I ordered two sandwiches and when I got to work realized the sandwiches were incorrect and the name on my order was incorrect. I called the store and shared with them that the order was incorrect and that the order did not have my name (someone else's name was on the wrapping) and they told me to return the order. When I arrived at the store the female clerk at the register chatted with a person whom I assumed was the owner/manager and showed him the document where she wrote down the order. She stated this is what she ordered---I stated I did not order a sandwich with peppers because I do not eat peppers. I stated I ordered pickles and not peppers. They refunded me my money and I then I requested to order 2 more sandwiches of which the young lady stated she could not take my order. I asked her are ya'll out of cajun turkey and she responded yes. I waited a couple of minutes and noticed other customers ordering cajun turkey. I asked the young lady again and she replied "We not sell you sandwiches we gave you your money back". I said, thank you for refunding me my money, however, I would like to order two more sandwiches. The young lady responded again, "We will not sell you sandwiches". I walked over to the deli counter and spoke with the manager and he stated, "we have a right to refuse service to anyone, please leave my store". I asked, what is your reason for refusing service to me?" He stated, you ordered sandwiches and returned them....I stated, so you are telling me that you are refusing me service because I returned 2 sandwiches of which your clerk wrote down the incorrect information . when I placed the order. I responded to the clerk and said, "Sir, I've been coming to this store for many, many years and I've never experienced a problem. I share with friends, co-workers and family all of the time that the sandwiches are good and encourage them to patronize this business. I have been a part of the LSU community for over 25 years. He again, requested that I leave the store. At this point I began responding in a highly agitated manner----I requested that they call the police. He stated he would not call the police. I stated, I know you will not because if what you were doing was right, you would have no problem calling the police, however, you know what you are doing is wrong, therefore, you will not. I stated, I would never enter this store again. The fact that the clerk took my order incorrectly and then blamed her error on the customer is both insulting and appalling to me as a consumer. This store is in no way "Customer Service Concerned or Friendly". They are only concerned with the money and not providing customer service. I will never visit this store again....my many years of...

Went in here tonight to order a sub sandwich.. was not asked if I wanted it hot or cold and when I told them I intended for it to be cold they gave me my money back and took a loss on wasted food and basically told me I can’t eat there .. instead of keeping the money correcting the order and also keeping a customer.. not to mention I’m huge and pregnant and feel like that whole situation was handled badly by them.. that is what you call “bad business” skills .. I still got my sandwich somewhere else .. and American market has one less customer and a food loss in the trash (who really lost out?) 0 stars do not recommend .....

Used to love this place until I realized alot of their drinks, foods and products are fakes. I used to go there for sandwiches but then I started buying liquor and realized It may have been watered down . My friends and I bought 2 bottles of liquor and didn't feel squat . I also brought a vape pen from there that did not work and they refused to take it back saying "Im chancing when I buy them"SCAMMMMMM. I'm never going to this store again and I hope other people see through the...
