It’s one of the best in Baton Rouge! Ingredients are fresh, the staff is friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting. On Saturday, September 13, 2025, I placed an order through the app. It was ready upon my arrival, but when I arrived at my destination, I realized I did not get the bowl I ordered. (This is usually the part where I call and whoever answers gives me an attitude and I stop going there and post a harsh but honest google review). Instead, I called and spoke with the manager, Kenny. Kenny was incredibly helpful, apologetic, and eager to make my experience a great one. Because I was so far away from Baton Rouge and not at all keen on returning to Cava that day, he took down my name and number and let me know that he would remake my bowl any day this week. I really appreciated that. I did eat what I received and it was very good and so I made the decision to forgive and forget, especially since I was able to enjoy the meal I got and because Kenny was so nice. But it doesn’t end there. Today, I received a voicemail from Kenny who called to follow-up with me regarding my promised bowl (in all honesty, I’d forgotten all about it). Talk about a WOW moment! I called him back and let him know that I would not be asking him to remake the bowl and nor would I be seeking any kind of reimbursement because I was able to enjoy the bowl that day. He was very courteous, and as kind and thoughtful in his tone, words, and demeanor as he was on Saturday. To anyone reading this review: I’m so impressed with this restaurant, its food, its staff, and its management! Give Cava a try! It’s delicious and everyone is amazing! Thank you so much Kenny! Read moreUpdate for 4/22 at 12:35pm: I came back again, was hesitant with how horrible it was the last time, but must be a better timeframe to come since it was fairly empty and the lady serving/at the register was much more friendly and they had all the ingredients. This is the CAVA I knew before. Hoping to regain my loyalty here and will up my review as time goes by.
The most horrendous Cava experience I’ve ever had! Brought out of town guest who’ve never been. I rave about Cava, because the food is usually great! We had a terrible experience waiting for missing ingredients at the one in Perkins Rowe 45 minutes prior, where we gave up and headed to LSU location instead, only for it to be WORSE!
The rude workers blame it on short staff, but there were six ppl behind the counter and I’ve seen less at the Cavas in the Midwest where they’re able to fulfill everyone’s orders and have ALL the ingredients on the menu despite long lines. They couldn’t even offer anything as an apology for missing ingredients (so many missing ingredients, I waited an additional 20 minutes for spicy chicken as my family and guests ate first), long wait over an hour for us (they had one young girl waiting on a whole long line while three ppl ran online orders taking all the ingredients before the girl could fill line orders for waiting guests), wrong orders for pick-up (as I stood in line watching ppl come in and complain), and of course the register machine broke and we had to wait for it to work again, because there were just too many angry customers to do anything. THEN they start making my bowl. There were like 8 workers & everyone was attending to the dine in customers. LIKE HELLO WHAT ABOUT THE 20 CARS IN THE DRIVE THRU PICK UP LANE WAITING FOR OVER AN HOUR??? My cousin is 9 years old & can still run a business better than these people. She doesn’t even know how to speak English. Btw, yall could have told me “sorry about the wait” but no yall gave me an attitude for having a foreign name on my pick up order. PLUS YALL forgot my pita, and didn’t add half the toppings I wanted. Food was NOT worth the 1 hour wait.
