My first experience was amazing, the two gentlemen who helped my friend and I were very knowledgeable and welcoming. So, I was really excited to return back today;however, my experience was not so welcoming. I agree with the previous constituent. Apparently, I didnāt not fit the standards and/or requirements to receive adequate customer āhelloā would have been nice. However, I had to walk by the counter and was greeted by the cashier who was ringing a customer up. She attempted to assist me but was rudely interrupted by who I believe was her supervisor. The same lady (supervisor) saw me walk through the door but blatantly ignored me; to add insult to injury interjected the cashier who was trying to assist me. The entire atmosphere was very unwelcoming, I felt ostracized being a woman of color! Lets just call it what it is! I appreciate the cashiers efforts to assist me. I politely walked out the store and will NOT be returning! I hope the lady who had a appointment spent a lot of money supporting your company bc you negated the fact your employee was assisting me, which was HIGHLY RUDE and VERY DISRESPECTFUL it seems as though you may have an issue with PEOPLE of COLOR! Please keep in mind ACTIONS SPEAKS LOUDER than WORDS! CUSTOMER SERVICE TRAINING on how to GREET people of ALL ETHNICITIES is a STARTā¦.Have a peaceful rest...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place is quite wonderful for mineral fans in the area. It's mainly a place for those into mysticism, spirituality, wikanism and the like, Having an inventory for mainly minerals but tarot cards, incense, jewelry, manuals and books on affiliated topics. This place has a decent collection of minerals available ranging from a good majority of common minerals always available due to shipments to minerals that they happen to have for sale because some was found themselves. Plus they have a fair variety of larger minerals for extreme collectors or altar makers ranging from minerals clusters the size of fist to the size of a human baby. All minerals are sprayed with sage when sold for those buying for energy use and are not sprayed, if asked, with sage for the fellow rock hounds out there. Looking at the other half of the store there is a fair collection of jewelry to look through as well as many different smells of incense oils and burner. In the back is a good range of tarot cards and books dealing in affiliated topics mentioned above. Overall the store has a good atmosphere with employees who go out of their way to ask if you need any help and are quite knowledgeable about both the spiritual and technical side of minerals and other items...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI go here often because it has a lot of the spiritual items I need quickly and there aren't any other stores like this in Baton Rouge. However, I do not like the energy of most of the staff. There are a couple guys who are really helpful, but the women mostly ignore me or watch me intently as I shop. I've noticed (and heard this from other people who have shopped there) that there is a hostile energy given from the workers to Black women who shop there. Because of the way I feel when I shop there (and I've spend hundreds here), if there were a similar store to open nearby I would patronize it over Coyote Moon because I feel as if the workers at Coyote Moon only begrudgingly accept my business. I'm not sure if the ladies who work there are owners or friends of the owners, but they definitely could either use some customer service training or a new job.
Pros: there is a wide selection of crystals, candles, incense, and books.
Cons: the staff picks and chooses who they will help and who they will be friendly to. And this is the Deep South, so you know who they choose to be...
