TL;DR the manager -Brandon- thinks it’s good business practice to SCAM customers, so I slid him the bowl back, and the wasted product can be on his dime.
I eat here almost every other day. I know what standard portions look like. Today (Wednesday, 25th, 2 PM), I ordered two bowls with my GF. She ordered a steak bowl with no Queso. They hardly put any rice, beans, or protein on it while also putting queso on hers despite her mentioning she didn’t want any. She doesn’t eat much, so she didn’t care about the portioning, and she was nice enough to let the queso slide. I ordered a half steak and half chicken bowl. To their credit, they gave me a decent amount of rice, but then proceeded to stiff me on the beans and meat. The portions were so ridiculously small; there were 3-4 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of steak. I asked for more, and the worker gave me a single, small piece of steak. He passed the bowl along, and I cordially asked the next guy for more meat. He says no, half portions are 2 OZ, and insisted he can give me double. I pointed to the lack of meat in the bowl and said, “These are quarter scoops; they aren’t 2oz scoops”. I’m unsure if he was lying, but when I asked for the manager, he said he was the manager and insisted he could give me double (of course, he did not mention the additional charge). I told him no, slid him back the bowl, and told him he could keep it. His name is Brandon, apparently, and he has a substandard beard and long hair in a man bun at the back of his head, with a lanky build. He stopped serving when I went to sit, went into the back with the serving-worker and a meal-prep, and started gossiping with them, probably about my gf and me while we were sitting. They kept looking towards us, smiling and pretending they weren’t talking about us.
To anyone reading this, I promise I’m not a Karen. I never had a problem like this at a food place. But whoever these guys are, they’re jerks trying to cheat customers from proper portions while charging full price.
And to you, Brandon, being pragmatic and kind goes a long way. Next time, use your brain a little if...
Read moreTODAY WAS A BAD BAD DAY FOR MY USUALLY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED STORE HERE IN SHREVEPORT, LA. FIRST(@10:25 A.M) I FAXED THE ORDER, WAITED ABOUT 15 MIN CALLED FOR CONFIRMATION.......IM SORRY THE FAX MACHINE IS BROKEN STATED AMANDA WHO SEEMED TO PROCEED AS IF IT WAS MY FAULT TRYING TO FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES. THEN, I ALERTED HER THAT THE PERSON PICKING THE ORDER UP HAD ALREADY LEFT, AND THAT WE HAD AGREED THAT THE ORDER WOULD BE IMMEDIATELY SUBMITTED, SO THAT COULD PROMPTLY RETURN, AS THE TRIP WOULD HAVE TAKEN MORE THAN 30 MINUTES, JUST FOR THIS PICK UP. SO, I SUBMIT THE ORDER ONLINE AT APPROX. 10:50 AM. CALLED TO VERIFY, AMANDA STATES SHE HAD NOT RECEIVED THE ORDER. FINALLY, I AGREED TO GIVE THE ORDER FOR 2 SINCE EVERYONE ELSE HAD BACKED DOWN. AMANDA TOOK THE ORDER, STATED SHE WAS ABOUT TO PREPARE IT HERSELF AND HAVE IT READY FOR OUR ATTORNEY. WE RECEIVED THE 2 ORDERS, THEY WERE HORRIBLE. THE BARBOA WAS A BIG LUMP OF ALL STANDING ALONE A BIT OF RICE, NO VEGETABLES(MRS. JENKINS ORDER). MY ORDER WAS NOT HALF WAY FILLING THE BOWL, NO VEGETABLES, VERY LITTLE CHICKEN. Read moreWill not be visiting here again. My daughter and I stopped in to grab a bite to eat after touring LSU. The service on the good line was great staff was friendly and food was fresh. Everything after that was horrible experience. First there were no clean tables. I seen a staff member and asked if we could get a table cleaned. She said I had to take out the trash before I cleaned the tables. Ok. She then grabs a towel spot off the table we wanted to sit and and then walks away. I said ma’am can I see the towel and she asked “why”. I told her the table wasn’t clean and there was food mashed on the table. She says oh that’s not going to come off. I rubbed my finger over it and she just looks at me and says “I can let you touch the towel.” I tell her that the attitude is not necessary and we’re just trying to get a clean place to eat. I go talk to the manager and she’s looking at me as if she didn’t know what to say.
I will not be back. I don’t spend my money where I’m going to be treated with such disrespect over asking for a clean place to sit. I get that their main patrons are college student who may not care about eating on top of someone else’s crumbs but there are people who prefer to have a clean place to...
