Golden Chick — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Second time going through the drive thru for dinner. Must say this is probably the best chicken I've eaten in a while. It may not be for others in Louisiana because it's not spicy like most fried chicken you get at other places. This is regular good ole fried chicken...fried perfectly and not overdone either They even offer baked chicken as well, although I've not had that kind yet. The food is just downright good and the sides portions are not skimpy either. The customer service is pretty good as well. They stay pretty packed every time I pass by with lines of cars going through the drive thru. My order on the first visit accidentally didn't get a side that was ordered with the family meal I purchased. The manager personally brought out a fresh order of the missing side dish piping hot and was very apologetic. Accidents happen and they corrected the accident immediately showing their great...

The customer service is the worst I've experienced. Upon ordering, (not to mention our very 1st time here and we were really excited to try it), the female came across the speaker, no greeting ask for our order, we asked for the roasted chicken combo, and before we could finish speaking, we were rudely interrupted asking for our side and drink, we were about to continue when the employee came back and replied, "I SAID WHATS YOUR DRINK AND SIDE!!", we want to add an extra side and again, interrupted WITH- THAT DONT COME WITH TWO SIDES!!, I drove off extremely mad. 1st off NO ONE WITH AN ATTITUDE COULD EVER SERVE ME!! That makes me very uncomfortable to be Served with an attitude and I will not trust my food is handled with care and is not compromised due to an employee having a bad day. THIS ONE EMPLOYEE RUINED ME EVER ATTEMP TO VISIT THE ONE IN BATON...

Well we knew once this place opened up... It would be packed... Which it was.. And still gets pretty packed... There are times to show up so you are not in a long line, if your a daily driver passing along... Then you know the times to be there. So my first time being there, we got the half and half which is half roasted and half fried chicken, with fries, okra, and potato salad. We were on the fence about the potato salad.... Honestly the fried chicken is 5, but the roasted chicken is a 10!! It had flavor and was moist... The potato salad honestly got better when it sat out to room temperature(its still not a good as my moms)... Im excited to go back for the roasted chicken and to try their chicken salad and corn nuggets... They also sell tea(best tea comes from China 1, MacDonalds, and Popeyes) im willing to taste their tea as well... So far this place is...
