Hibachi Xpress — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

Lets be honest here I really love hibachi I can really appreciate and support good flavorful Asian foods especially when they come at a reasonable price this place was none of those things. I paid $50 for two lunches consisting of flavorless beef and chicken, extremely watered down miso soup, and HARD steamed pork dumplings. The only edible thing we received was the complimentary salad. If you want good honest food go to ingas by LSU the teriyaki bowls are as big as the meals here for $8 and your supporting a small local family. in the year since its discovery I have yet to be disappointed with anything on the menu and they will forever have my buisness unlike this...

I'm not sure if today was a one off or not but this was my first time ever visiting. From the cook to the cashier there seems to be a since that no one cared. The time was super long, the cook on the very low grade beef was over cooked, the shrimp was old and the sauce used to mop everything was broken and watery, the rice tastes old and lacked flavor and character. This was my first and last time here. There is nothing express about this location. We waited 45 minutes for our food. They seemed very unorganized and I had plenty of time to watch them. I am giving them two stars because the food was good. Call ahead and order OR ask how long it will be BEFORE you order. Don't plan to dine in. They have 3 tables.
