Hibachiana — Restaurant in Baton Rouge

There isn't really much to it, small place with a few tables, good for lunch. The prices are reasonable, the service was really good and the food was fresh. It took about 15 minutes but I didn't mind waiting for fresh food.

I got the chicken hibachi plate and it was just okay to me. It was plated very nicely in the to go plate and it was a good size portion because I was able to eat off of it twice. The chicken didn't have much flavor outside of the sweet teriyaki sauce which was really good. But I did not like that the rice also had sauce put on it. It was okay for the vegetables and the chicken but I would have liked to have been able to taste the rice by itself. I'm pretty sure the fried rice didn't have eggs in it which was slightly disappointing.

These are just my personal preferences with the eggs and the sauce but I probably wouldn't go back for hibachi but would try some of the...

horrible customer service, horribly rude staff. called the place to find out about the weekly special that they advertise on FB, kept getting the run around and being told "have to order inside" after consistently being told that I understand that, and I would like to know what it is before coming , I was transferred a few times and repeated this loop being told that their colleague knows , only to eventually be told " you have to order inside" and hung up on. initially I thought perhaps it was a language barrier but they made it clear that their staff is rude and doesn't care the tiniest bit about customer service.

For clarity, I made it abundantly clear that i was NOT trying to order by phone , I made it abundantly clear that I intended to come in and eat there , however before coming I wanted to know what the potential...

I love hole in the wall type places. Its where food is made with passion! My first experience has been great so far. I ordered the yaki udon noodles w/chicken. The yaki udon dishes do seem a little pricey, but you do get a generous portion, plenty of meat, and the noodles are so yummy. You even get a free soda during lunch! The lady at the register was very nice and eventhough the inside of the restaurant looks a little barren, it only adds to the hole in the wall charm! I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu!

update 09/13. Tried the katsu chicken and it is amazing! The portion size is huge too! Will take me two or three sittings to...
