I ordered ceviche tostadas and 2 tamales online. My shrimp was raw in my ceviche. The ceviche also had a piece of a broken nail in it. My tamales were pork and had bones in them. The website says only chicken tamales but it clearly was not chicken. I do not eat pork or beef so it was quite obvious. The workers had to call someone on the phone to discuss the order because she needed a translator. I made a comment on my order to receive a substitute for shrimp and left my number for a call back if they weren’t able to do it. I received no call and upon arrival they pretended like it was impossible to substitute and it was an issue to do so. I ordered close to closing so I wasn’t able to go back and talk to them. I would have politely have requested a refund. I sent my bf to pick up the order so I wasn’t fully aware of what was going on until it was too late. I had a great experience with the man the first time I went but this second time the staff was terrible and food smelled way better than it tasted. I went 4/29/24. I also tried to cook the shrimp because they were so raw, they pretty much turned into mush. Definitely don’t recommend.

My dining experience, well our server spoke little English, could not tell us when asked what was on the taco, he didn't understand but he had a nice smile. The food looked very good worth every penny until I tasted it. It has really very little taste even the pico de Gallo was lacking the basic taste of cilantro & lime and my tacos they weren't to my liking. It seems like the meat wasn't a high quality a little chewy and no flavor except the salt I added we were not given a lemon or lime, the bean were good I enjoyed them... I may revisit again, but not any time soon.

Check out La Salvadorena! https://yelp.to/b1edI1F2B2 3285 Nicholson Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70802 Hands down, this place served the best tamales and tostadas I've ever had (in my own opinion)! The baledas and pupusas were also awesome and not to be underestimated! Even though I was borderline full, I could not get enough of it! I am very appreciative to have discovered this place! #Tonylameats #lasalvadoreña #batonrougela #salvadoranfood #spanish

Food was really good. The only thing they need work on is service! My husband and I went in at 10am and he ordered a coffee. The girl rudely said there was none and all they had was soda !! Didn't even specify what kind. My husband had to literally look over her shoulder and name out the sodas they had. Right after she took our drink order she asked if we were ready: We politely let her know that we needed more time since we hadn't even looked at the menu. After like 2 minutes she came up and just ask rudely if we were ready yet. Seeing that there wasn't much on the menu we asked for a couple more minutes because clearly it was early morning and we had never been here before. After that she just stepped out of the kitchen and yelled from across the room if we're ready and so my husband asked if they had any breakfast ( just out of curiosity since he is Salvadorian as well ) she said they did have breakfast but it was not listed on the menu, my husband then proceeded to ask what they could serve and she said " whatever you want I guess " like seriously ?! She didn't even offer anything . Her way of speaking to us was just so rude and impolite . My husband basically had to ask for each item and answer all her questions. At the end we ended up paying around 25 dollars for a few scrambled eggs, some green banana and a teaspoon of beans .. Honestly, if we knew this was gonna happen, I would have rather taken it to go or made it myself. From Texas to Louisiana , I can honestly say "ever is bigger and better in Texas " Not to mention they has kids in the kitchen the whole time crying and screaming and this little girl running around. Such and unsafe place and not to mention very...

Ordered a cheese and bean pupusa and 2 tacos al pastor (seasoned pork) from the current takeout menu for lunch today. My plate came with curtido (pickled cabbage slaw), chirmol (I think, similar to pico de gallo, a bit too much onion), salsa roja (needs to be cooked down a bit more IMHO), something that reminded me of Peruvian aji verde (a spicy green sauce) and fresh lime. Enjoyed the pupusa but it was so well filled that it started to fall apart as I ate. The tacos were delicious though I didn’t eat them as intended. Since I was in my office alone, I dumped the meat off the tortillas (seemed to be homemade) and topped it with the curtido which I hadn’t used on the pupusa since it fell apart, the chirmol, lime juice, and some of the aji verde. Use caution with this, it’s very spicy. I then sort of made 4 mini tacos, they fell apart, and enjoyed. It’s definitely a 2 napkin lunch. I gave them 4 stars taking just a bit off for the bland salsa and overly filled pupusa and corn tortillas and the rest because I did have some minor GI upset later so I'm not sure they are keeping food at the right temperature. I did take out (2pm) and the order was ready when promised. I'll definitely be back to try out other things...
