So, we are new to the BR area and decided to eat here. We placed our order and when the appetizer came everything was good to go. When our entree came, they ran out of one of the meats and doubled up on the first meat (chicken) No one told us they were out of this item, so our children's kids meal came all at the same time as our incorrect entree. We informed our waitress and she said, i'm sorry, but they ran out of sausage. So, how come someone didn't inform us before we placed our order. I specifically ordered that plate for that item that was out. So, I told our waitress to forget the entree, and just give us our bill. (If they would've offered to substitute the missing item for another meat, I would've been grateful, however, they never made this an option) I asked the manager if their is some sort of way to deduct the bill, because of the inconvenience. He gave me a 2.98 deduction. Wow, surprised I was. They were absolutely rude, and NEVER will I come back nor tell anyone to eat there. I wasn't the one who ran out of food and still sold it, then replacing the missing food with double order of chicken. Never informed me about anything and tried to pass a fast one. I know this is very minute, however, customer service is customer service. I am not rating them on their food quality because my daughters cheeseburger kids meal and our appetizer was good, I am giving them this rating because of the inconvenience they caused our family dinner and the customer service we received. I have worked in customer service and in a restaurant (in my undergrad years of college) and when we messed up on an order, we would've comped the bill or gave half off. This is for one simple reason, the family or customer took their time out of their day to go to your establishment, for an order to be messed up, especially when there is multiple order on one ticket, now they have to wait for there food to be recooked when everyone else's food is already being eaten. This is not the service people expect when they go to a restaurant. Therefore, why are you going to charge them the full bill, when an error on the order was a mistake by the staff. Just my thought, very disappointed, right before all of this, everything was good. I even told the wife, this seems like it can be a regular for us, but boy...
Read moreSo, I'm sure on a regular day and time that's not extremely busy. They might have gotten five stars on service. But when I went they were extremely busy and very packed. I went for the Crawfish because I had heard they were one of the best in town. The flavor was great! Wonderful Cajun flavor to them but just not spicy enough for me. I like my lips to tingle and my mouth to tingle from the spice. I like to have to drink water after half the batch because the spices getting a bit much. And I like my nose to run. None of that happened. Also apparently when they cooked My potatoes and corn. They were really busy because the ones I got at first were not seasoned. But when I told the waiter he brought me some other corn and potatoes that were fresher and they were seasoned. At first, I thought maybe they just spoiled them in regular water instead of the actual crawfish boil. And since they were busy I didn't get my water for like 15- 20 min. But I totally understand because some of the other people around me were being super needy And like we're keeping him at a table for like 5 or 6 minutes at a time Talking to him about this or that. But the atmosphere is great! It was a beautiful day to sit outside and besides the Crawfish being slightly disappointing for the spice level but good in flavor. It was a good time because I wasn't in a rush or anything and I could have went and sat at The bar and gotten faster service but I wanted to sit outside and enjoy the day which was very nice. So if you like crawfish but don't like them too spicy this is the perfect place for you. I personally just want my nose to run my lips to tingle/sting, at to sweat a bit...
Read moreThe sole reason for going to Sammy's was to get crawfish because it has been the best so far.. After waiting a 1hr 30mins for a table for 7 (totally fine and normal wait time due to size and busyness) I put my order for crawfish in immediately because I knew it would take a while.. after a full hour my table was already done eating and just waiting for me to receive my crawfish... sadly when my crawfish arrived I immediately knew it wouldn't taste good. The smell was not there (we all know what good crawfish smells like and know how it will taste based on it). I peeled the first one and not to my surprise it tasted like the memory of seasoning.. I kid you not it tasted like the chef intended to season it amazingly but forgot to and it was only a thought now. It tasted like the previous batch but watered down. Like a dash of pepper was added. I tried a few more and the flavor felt like it was getting lost to the new memory of absolute disappointment. Absolutely terrible. The waitress was kind enough to ask if it was alright. I told her it wasn't and she went to get some information on why for me. Turns out they had a new boiler.. im not mad at the waitress or the boiler. I am infact disappointed that the manager didn't even care to come to at least address the situation. Granted I didn't asked for the manager but I'm sure they were informed because I asked for it to be taken off my bill and it was granted. I'm very disappointed and hungry for good crawfish. Hopefully this will be a one time incident and the boiler gains the experience to satisfy the crawfish fanatics and the manager learns to at least say something because it a...
