Blue Store Chicken — Restaurant in Louisiana

I'm not one to normally write a review, but today against this place I had too! I went in there at 3:20 pm after picking up my daughter from school. The drive thru had a long line, and there was nobody in the lobby so I decided to go in. There was a lady with her son who made it to the door right before me, so I was after them. When it was my turn to place my order, I asked the girl did they already have any turkey wings ready, because I didn't have time to wait on any to come up! She said oh, yes we got some up and they hot and fresh! I said ok, let me get a turkey wing and the 3 piece box special. The girl called the lady and her son for their order that was ready. They had about 6 more people came in and placed their orders, I just knew I was next for my order to be ready! Then she called these other people about 2 others for their orders who came after me. I'm like excuse me where's my order I been standing here for 10 minutes you told me everything was up, that I didn't have to wait on anything! She said oh, they wanted to make sure your turkey wing was hot and fresh so, she just dropped it!! I told her, I told you I didn't have time to wait on it to be dropped and that you told me they already had some up that was hot and fresh you just should have told me they didn't have any ready and I would've just got the chicken and left! So, I waited another 10 minutes, mind you I don't know if these girls or African or Haitian because they were speaking another language to each other and I didn't understand nothing they were saying! While I coninued to wait there I noticed they were drinking their personal drinks all on the line as they fixed food, not 1 person had any gloves on as they handled the food and the guy from drive thru had an unlit cigarette in his mouth as he walked off the line by the food to walk outside to smoke and then he came back in, no hand washing straight back to the window! Absolutely, disgusting!! Now, I see why when you go to Chinese restaurants they have it blocked so you can't see the back of the kitchen! Because of the nastiness that's in the kitchen as the guests food is being prepared! If, this one is like this I know they all are being ran like this. I will never, ever go here again! I didn't get my food until 3:45 pm, just ridiculous!! And as for the girls who you can't understand nothing they saying y'all should just fix food and let somebody else run the cash register that speak clear freaking...

This evening, I arrived at the Blue Store on Staring Lane at 5:00 pm. Ordered 3 chicken wings, 3 potato logs, 12 chicken wings, and 2 turkey wings. Asked for the 2 turkey wings to be fried fresh cause they are always hard and dried out sitting under the lamp. People are placing orders and leaving. One gentleman placed an order for chicken tenders and was informed it would be 13 minutes. Mind you, they never gave me a time as to how long my order would take since I wanted fresh turkey wings. At 5:17 pm, the young lady checks on my order cause I am making my way to the counter to ask her about my order. She says the guy says it will be 10 minutes. I am like “how will it be 10 more minutes and I been waiting since 5:00 pm”? I ask her to speak to the manager. An Asian guy comes up and says he is the manager and that it will be 10 minutes. I say, “okay but why is it taking so long”? He walks off. Other people get their orders and I am the only one left waiting. The Asian guy comes back to the counter and says it will be 10 minutes. By this time, it’s 5:22 pm, I told him, “ you told me 10 minutes about 5 minutes ago”. Long story short, he wanted me to buy the dried out turkey wings sitting under the lamp. He didn’t wanna fry me fresh turkey wings. So then he starts issuing me a refund. I asked him for his manger’s name. He keeps on saying he is the manager. I say well I wanna talk to your manager. He says that’s the owner and she is his aunt. I tell him that’s fine, I need her name and number. He says he’s not gonna give me her number. I explained to him that I always come to this particular Blue Store and get freshly fried turkey wings but I will no longer do business with them. I will continue to go to the Blue Store on Bluebonnet as I always get...

When we first ordered from here during its early stages of opening it was really good food the chicken was fresh, beans were amazing, and great customer service. However, our recent visit shows a great decline. We couldn’t order a large beans with no rice they said it had to be a small which made no sense because they still charge it the same. The container the beans came in was not the usual black container, it was a super small white styrofoam cup. The consistency of the beans was basically water and they had some kind of meat in there we didn’t know what it was. The chicken was not fresh and were smaller than usual, the chicken tasted like it had been fried in old dirty grease. The cashier came up chewing with food in her mouth.
