Dear Ovo At The Altair Management,
I am writing to formally express my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your restaurant on Friday evening. Over the past two years, I have recommended numerous high-profile clients from New York to dine at your establishment, expecting a level of service that aligns with the reputation I believed you upheld. Unfortunately, my most recent visit has led me to reconsider any future business with your restaurant.
I had made a reservation for one of my clients, yet upon arrival, they were forced to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Given the importance of their dining experience, I personally visited the restaurant to ensure their needs were met. However, I was met with an alarming lack of customer service at every turn.
To begin with, the valet was extremely unprofessional. When I requested to park for a mere five minutes to check on my client, I was met with hostility, a demand for full-price parking, and outright rudeness. Once inside, I found that there was no one available to properly address my concerns or accommodate my client’s seating request.
To make matters worse, the dining experience itself did not meet expectations. The food was disappointing, and when my client requested to speak with a supervisor regarding their concerns, they were met with more rudeness rather than a resolution.
This level of service is simply unacceptable, especially for a restaurant that caters to high-end clientele. I have sent a great deal of business your way over the years, but after this experience, I see no reason to continue doing so. I had hoped for professionalism, attentiveness, and quality—none of which were delivered.
I wanted to bring this to your attention in the hopes that you address these serious issues, as I would hate for other potential patrons to have a similarly disappointing experience. However, unless I hear of significant improvements, I will no longer be recommending or frequenting your...

Stayed there a couple of weeks ago. Very bad experience! We paid for meals for Shabbat and it was horrible! The food was dry Friday night and they moved us to the meat bar restaurant because the hotel restaurant was full. The walk there was nice but that’s it. Lunch was over crowded and they booked more than the restaurant can hold and put tables in the lobby. A table of 2 they gave us such small portions, I asked for them to give us a bigger portion and the waiter looked at me like I fell off the moon. It was embarrassing the portion of salad they gave! I wish o had pictures. They gave us 2 pieces of chicken and it was burnt, we didn’t even bother.
We spent $600 on two meals for two people and it was such a waste and not enjoyable at all!!! You are better off going to the groove supper market and buying takeout and you’ll be paying significant less and getting more.
The breakfast was horrible!!! When you walk into the restaurant and see the buffet that is set up is very embarrassing. It looked like a buffet that a Holiday Inn would serve. The scrambled egg was not fresh and it was not warm. They don’t replenish The buffet, especially the bread. The bread lacked variety. They offered a mini bagels, happy seeds and white bread when someone went over and asked Fore for whole wheat bread. They said they don’t have whole. I haven’t seen white sliced bread at a Breakfast buffet in years.
Breakfast only had two types of fruit. The salad bar consisted of cut up, tomatoes, cucumbers, shredded carrots, corn, and radish with two options of lettuce. You also had one type of salad dressing. They didn’t have ketchup for the eggs or potato’s.
I tried emailing but no response, goes to show how much the establishment cares about the customers. We felt very cheated for what we paid for for our Shabbat meal. I wish I would have looked at the reviews instead of social...
Read moreI never leave negative reviews on places but this experience was so terrible that I thought prospective Purchaser's ought to know what they were getting if they did the Shabbos day meal.
Paying $254 for a couple, you'd think you would be getting 5 star service and food. The service was beyond awful. As soon as i entered with my baby in stroller they told me i couldn't take stroller inside and had to hold baby. First of all there were many strollers inside the restaurant so i was confused why they were being so rude to me. Then, I realized that they overbooked or mismanaged the bookings and put my table literally right in between two other tables so all of us were uncomfortable, so instead of trying to accommodate us and give us some room to fit stroller in, they thought they can just tell me to leave it outside.
Besides for the awful and rude staff, the food was worse than the worst kiddush you've ever been to. They lied about half the stuff that was supposed to be there: no shnitzel, no bbq short rib, no babaganoush, no hot pastrami, no yerushalmi kugel and many others. I'm sure if they had these things they would have found a way to screw it up as well since almost everything that was served was the worst version of that food.
If you wanted a can of soda you had to ask waiter to bring it instead of putting it out for you to take from buffet area. God forbid you allow customers to take soda by themselves.
Save your money, I wish I saw an honest review...
