A Carnivore's Paradise: Unforgettable Experience at Meat Bar
For the *second evening * in a row, we had the pleasure of dining at Meat Bar, a meat lover's haven, nestled in the heart of Miami/ at Harbor. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the stage for an extraordinary culinary adventure.
The experience (once more) began with an array of appetizers, each a delightful tease to the palate. The standout was the Moroccan style margez sausages, perfectly seasoned, accompanied by a zesty dipping sauce that elevated the dish to new heights. For those who appreciate a lighter start, the fresh salad (a choice of several!), topped with vine-ripened tomatoes and a drizzle of aged balsamic, was a symphony of flavors.
The main courses, however, were the true stars of the evening. The lamb entrees were nothing short of spectacular. I indulged in the lamb Osso Bucco , which was cooked to a flawless medium, tender and bursting with juices. The balance of seasoning complimented the natural flavors of the lamb exquisitely.
Steak enthusiasts would be in paradise here. The range of cuts, from a marbled rib eye to the intriguing “surprise” cut, offered something for every palate. My partnwr’s Choice, the surprise cut,, was a masterpiece of culinary skill – seared to perfection, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a richness that lingered delightfully on the tongue.
The menu also boasted exceptional chicken dishes and a variety of fish options. The grilled salmon I sampled was moist and flaky, with a subtle smokiness that enhanced its natural flavors.
No meal is complete without dessert, and Meat Bar excelled in this arena as well. The hot chocolate cake was a dream, with a gooey center that flowed like molten cocoa gold.
Service throughout the meal was impeccable, with attentive but unobtrusive staff. The matre d, Eve, was attentive as well, elegantly dashing from diner to diner without the feeling of “over your shoulder”. Sommelier recommendations for wine pairings were spot-on, enhancing each dish beautifully.
In conclusion, Meat Bar is a gem (and you wouldn’t even know it is kosher to the highest standards) that offers a diverse and sensational culinary journey. It's a must-visit for anyone who cherishes expertly cooked meats and well-rounded dining experiences. Five stars are hardly enough to encapsulate the excellence of this...
Read moreOn August 20th 2019 at around 9:45pm I received a pickup order from Uber Eats for a food delivery order at the Meat & Bar Restaurant located on 1009 Kane Concourse, Bay Harbor Islands, FL 33154. I followed the instructions in the Uber Eats app where it clearly stated to go inside give order number so that you can receive the food. I went inside of the restaurant and I am guessing he was a manager or head waiter stopped me and my daughter at the door and said where are you going? I told him I came to pick up an Uber Eats order. He told me to go outside in a very rude disgusted tone, like someone who came to beg for food, so I went outside of the restaurant and he proceeded to tell me I need to go further down away from the restaurant, and that when the order was ready, he would bring it to me. He never asked for the order number or the name of the person. We waited outside in front of another restaurant and he came again and said I need to go further down because its going to take another 5 to 6 minutes for the order to be ready. This order took 20 minutes to be done, I should have cancelled the order after 10 to 15 minutes of waiting per Uber Eats but this was the first time I have encountered treatment in this manner, I was so overwhelmed all I could do was cry. I have seen the reviews where people have said the staff was so nice and attentive, however true character is how you treat people you don’t need. None of the staff came and asked was I being helped, because they did not need me. I do want to say thank you to whomever this gentleman was, because I was able to show my daughter this is not the way you treat people, when you are in a position of power, we must do better. This situation could have been handled better, there was no reason for the way the employee spoke to us. Every weekend me and my family visit one of the restaurants that I pick up orders from, to enjoy a delicious meal. I can truly say we will never visit this establishment again, but I am pretty sure they would never let me in there anyway so...
Read moreMy wife and I came with a few family members to eat here after shabbat ended on saturday. When we called earlier in the week to make the reservation, the host said he couldn't give us a 730 reservation but could do 745. Figured, wow must be very busy! When we arrived, the restaurant was literally empty with a bunch of staff walking around. We ended up taking a table outside because the weather was nice. When we got to the table, the prices were significantly more expensive than what was listed online. Literally double the price. Ok.... looking at it now, it was the lunch menu we saw online but dinner menu at the restaurant. Pretty ridiculous that they wanted to charge double but we stayed because we heard great things. When the server came to ask us what we wanted to drink, my wife and I each clearly stated "water no ice" but he came back with no ice for everyone, but ice in ours. As he was putting it down, he spilled water all over my wife. Not the end of the world and he was apologetic but not in a rush to get more napkins. Next, we learn they have absolutely NO ground meat, so no burgers.. umm thats ridiculous. My wife said she was looking for ground meat and was trying to figure something else out, so he suggests she get the "filet minion" lmao what a joke. The chef's special was listed at prime rib 20-40oz $17. great. Well I find out after asking that that this was $17 for 5 oz and minimum was 20oz. Honestly, the server couldn't speak good english and the service was terrible we just got up and left. Not going to try this place again. What probably started out as a great restaurant is being thrown down the drain by the owners hiring non-english speaking non-jewish people who don't understand servicing in this community which is why these restaurants are destined to fail. We went to Mendel's barbeque and had GREAT food and service appealing to more than just the...
