**UPDATE: Visited again on February 28th, 2024, around 7 PM with two friends, and the experience was déjà vu. We waited 15 minutes by the door despite there being empty tables, with employees walking by as if we were invisible. We grew anxious since we had dinner reservations but really wanted our friend to experience a drink here on her first Disney visit.
When two stools cleared at the bar, I asked if one of us could stand, and was told no, unless we could magically fit in the tiny space between the stools. Say no more! We waited another 10 minutes for the bartender to greet us, and her first words were, "You can’t stand at the bar." After explaining what we had been told, she finally took our drink order.
We all had Espresso Martinis, which were absolutely delicious. However, we had to drink them quickly because it was almost time for our dinner reservation. At least this time, I got to savor my drink a bit longer. Cheers to small victories!
ORIGINAL: We visited Enchanted Rose back in November 16, 2022 at 7:50pm~ and it was literally the worst experience I’ve had in any of my trips. My family got to the establishment and we just grabbed an open table. I asked someone if they could please take our order and they said they couldn’t but that someone would be right over. Fine, we’ll wait. We sat there for 15 minutes (or even more), waiting for someone to come to our table. Our friends arrived to meet us and guess what? more waiting! One of my friends couldn’t take it anymore and went to the bar and asked if someone could come. Waitress finally shows up, takes our order and guess what? more waiting again! 20 minutes passed and no drinks (or even water). The worst part is we could see our drinks had been made, and were just there laying there on a tray @ the bar (which is also unsafe for other reasons). We had reservations at California Grill so we had to leave so we all stood up and walked towards the door and my friend lets one of the staff members know we’re leaving and why and they have the audacity to ask her to pay for the drinks, and start serving them in plastic cups (which we had to throw away because no drinking in monorails). I mean…..a total waste of time + money. 0/0 would...
Read moreThe Enchanted Rose was quite an "enchanting" experience nestled on the 2nd floor of Disney's flagship resort,, The Grand Floridian. We visited during the holiday season, so the massive trees and holiday display made the experience even more magical. I do miss the gingerbread display and the live musicians immensely though. I wish they played some holiday music or an instrumental holiday piece in leu of the performers. My husband and I went on a Saturday night at 7PM and we didn't have problems getting seated right away. The first thing you'll notice as you get in is the heavenly scent of truffles, which made my mouth salivate instinctively. The server was very attentive and gave me suggestions on what cocktails and appetizers she prefers. We started our meal with the truffle fries with aged parmesan and shaved truffles served with truffle aioli. I can not overstress enough that you NEED these fries in you ASAP! It's $14 a plate and any other truffle fries you've had at that point will pale in comparison. We also had the cheese plate with 6 artisanal cheeses, a sliver of honey comb, raisins, a small jar of apples or pear compote served with a small side of crostinis. I was pleasantly surprised by how much cheese they gave us. We both particularly liked the bright orange mimolette and the blue cheese (gorgonzola perhaps?). We asked for an extra bowl of crostinis which they glady obliged us with. For my cocktail, I opted for the Island Rose which our server recommended. It was very pineapple heavy and would make a perfect summer drink, but I wish I ordered another selection. Overall, The Enchanted Rose is a solid place for an intimate aperitif or night cap, but I can easily see why people would be dissuaded with the...
Read moreWe loved this place!
We went here on two separate occasions while on Honeymoon in April, 2021. We were planning just one trip, but we liked it so much, we went again.
We were able to get outdoor seating both times. The first, there was no line, we were able to just walk in and get seating. The second time, we were placed on a short list and were then asked when called if sitting outside would be OK. It sure was. It was beautiful out, great view, and comfy seating outside.
Both times, service was amazing. The wait staff never left us waiting for anything or made us feel rushed at all.
This had my favorite drink on property and my wife's second favorite drink on property. Her favorite is still the Dole Whip Mimosa at Wine Bar George.
The drink she liked at Enchanted Rose was the Island Rose: Ketel One Grapefruit and Rose, Lime, Orgeat (Almond), Pineapple, Bitters, and Rose Water
It was fruity, pineapple flavors.
My favorite drink at Enchanted Rose and on WDW property is the Floral Bitter Beauty: Hendrick’s Gin, St~Germain Elderflower Liqueur, Campari, Aperol, Lemon, and Soda
I like my drinks on the sour/bitter side and this drink had the color of and a flavor of grapefruit, even though there is no grapefruit in it. It was wonderful!
For food, we tried the Artisinal Cheese Selection, Truffle Fries, Mini Brisket Sliders and Crab Mac and Cheese.
I really liked everything we had.
I do not eat shellfish, so the crab mac and cheese was the wife's. She thought it was great.
I'm usually not a big Truffle Fries person, but they were great. They came out super hot and fresh. Amazing.
Brisket Sliders were good.
This is our first cheese plate. We had to ask how to even eat it and they were...
