I went on this ride once with my dad on my 2nd trip to Magic Kingdom. It's a good ride for many children who like typical rides, but what's lacking in this ride is originality. It's basically another spinner like Dumbo, except a little faster, higher, less magical, and themed on Aladdin's Magic Carpets.
Like other tame rides, this is a mild ride with very low quality on thrill and scare, as a 1/10, and it's basically common for many outdoor "flying" rides, as Disney wants to keep everyone & everything safe, unlike parks like Six Flags or Ferarri Park in Abu Dhabi UAE. Also common in state fairs or carnivals.
The spitting camel doesn't help either or refresh you enough on a hot day.
It's the Magic carpets of Aladdin, but this ride isn't so magical tbh. And this ride is in Adventureland, but it's not vert adventurous, only good for little kiddos.
Aladdin is a classic movie, but this ride is so unoriginal.
What a huge waste of space in Adventureland, another Dumbo spinner?
Anyway, good ride for children other than the...
Read moreI won't bother talking about its unoriginality, because my kids love it, and the wait-times are usually low. However, this is for good reason.
This area of the park feels hotter than other areas. It may have to do with the building materials used in construction. The buildings are low enough to not create significant shade-areas, and the tree-shade is not adequate to compensate. There is also a span of waiting-line that goes past a high wall, and has nothing overhead to create shade, and creates the feeling of a solar-cooker. While standing here in the middle of the afternoon, I think I almost started hallucinating from the heat.
It also created conflict between two of my three daughters, over who would be allowed to control the elevation of our flying carpet, because only the front row riders have access to the...

If the queue is short (less than 15 minutes), you can't go wrong with The Magic Carpets of Aladdin. A fan-favorite among kiddos and kids-at-heart, this short spin takes you up in the air--but not too high off the ground. Simple buttons and levers allow you to control the heights and "tilt" of your carpet (front seat controls height, back seat control tilt). If you're (un)lucky, you might get splashed by the golden camel, so watch out for spit-jets of water headed your way!
The ride is located right in the heart of Adventure Land, not far from the Treehouse and the Jungle Cruise rides. It's a great stop to get your park adventures off to a great start, especially when the...
