El Platanal — Restaurant in Bayamón

Food was pretty good. We have been back since the bad experience and everything has been good and no wait.

This was on Mother's day(I have only been to the one in Carolina which always kills it. My cousin said her shrimp were chewy and my friend sent his food back twice cause it was cold. My husband had the chuleta kan-kan and it was delicious (huge too). I had the sopa de plátano they have 2 sizes, it was fine. We ordered churrasco and carne frita and it was good too. The big problem was that this location is new so they were not organized. We put our name down and the host said 45min. I waited for rest of my 7 person party. All the smaller parties were almost immediately taken in and seated and we waited and waited. Why in the world wouldn't they join 2 small tables instead of making us wait. Then when they called us, we didn't hear and gave our table to another party. How could we hear if there were tons of people and music. Yesterday I came to this place for the first time. It was amazing experience. Since we arrived at the restaurant we parked immediately and was greeted by the restaurant personnel. We were immediately sit at the table assigned. Our server, Manuel, was outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of. The food was delicious. Everything was prepared fresh at the moment. We tried different dishes as you can see in the pictures and everything was delicious. I recommend this place 💯 percent. You will love it! If I can give them a 10 out of 10 I will. When we were almost finished, a Mariachi group entered the restaurant to celebrate a private activity but everyone was able to enjoy the music! So we saw the advertisement on TV that there was a New Platanal in Bayamon, So we wanted to go and check it out! We parked in the wrong place next to the restaurant, we was not the only ones! Also their parking was full. We went in and it's Super full. Well next day is Mothers day,soooo!!! Anyway, we was attended 1st by I think was the owner, Very attended and fast ty ! He got someone to assist us quickly. We were seated. Waitress took a while. Place was packed, Music was nice, New restaurant just beautiful and prices just how I like it.
