Alex & Terry's Deli — Restaurant in Bayonne

I called up one day during the week to make sure that they were making pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. It was almost 3:30 and they close by 4. My Husband parked the car and I ran inside. The gentle man behind the counter asked me if I wanted half corned beef and half pastrami. I told him that I wanted one of each. I didn't realize how big they were! He asked me if I wanted mustard and a pickle. I appreciate him asking before putting mustard on my sandwiches. He was extremely pleasant, kind, gentle and in a good mood. I didn't feel like I was bothering him. I dislike when you are patronizing a store and they make you feel like you are annoying them. I happened to notice a loaf of special bread that I do not know the name of it. I picked up one and the gentleman said to pick up the first one which was still warm on the bottom. It had cheese inside it. It is delicious! We were extremely happy with the two sandwiches and I ate the bread in the morning with my coffee. I heated up a piece and it took me 5 days to finish it. The sandwiches were so very good! We couldn't eat the whole sandwiche in one sitting. On the second day I called a neighbor and asked her if she would like some of the pastrami. I warmed it up and put it on the rye bread that I had in the house. She was very happy with it too. I had some corned beef left and asked another neighbor. She too was very happy. I didn't grow up around here. But my neighbors knew all about Alex and Terry's. We will definitely go back again. I was asked what I had spent. I didn't think it was appropriate to ask me that. It's worth every penny. Thank you!...

Greatest food daily, amazing breakfast sandwiches. Leo is an amazing person. One morning they ran out of rolls before i got there. Leo said if i pick up rolls at C Town 1 block over he will take care of me. So i got the seeded rolls i wanted, he made me 3 breakfast sangwhiches and charged me less than normal. This man always goes above and beyond to take care of customers. His 2 front end helpers are always pleasant. They always greet you with a smile the moment you walk in the door. If you want fresh polish foods, great breakfast and great quality service well this is the place. From 630am on this place is always busy. Even after a long day there they are still super pleasant to you. I give them 10 stars across the board... this is the best store in Bayonne that really takes pride in their food and service. this place deserves some major recognition for his outstanding...

Came here for breakfast today, and it was my first time. I ordered breakfast, a bacon egg and cheese sandwich. (Extra bacon). I received my sandwich and it had all the extra meat in there I asked for. Upon paying, I reminded that I paid for extra bacon, and she said, “ Oh no, that’s how we make our sandwiches!”

I will be back for breakfast for sure! Facility was clean and customer service...
