Adour Bistro is amazing! Best food in Bayonne and even better than places in Jersey City. It’s a small restaurant but I didn’t feel on top of anyone. A small bar in the back with a couple of seats and a single bathroom next to it. Wood tables, it’s cozy chic. Nice music played in the background. It was busy on a Friday night at 8:30. Next time I will make a reservation.
The waiters and the owner were all extremely nice. The menu seems to take influence from both French, Russian and American dishes. The food and drinks are priced perfectly matched to the value you get.
The blood orange martini was excellent. So light and fruity. We shared the cauliflower app. Which was pretty big. The cauliflower was crunchy and fresh, the sauce was light yet had a rich umami flavor. I don’t know how they did that, it was one of the most balanced and satisfying dishes I have had in a while. Also it wasn’t cauliflower it was caulinni I think. It was thinner and longer pieces of cauliflower basically with a green stem. Delicious! So delicate, I can’t stop talking about this dish.
The strogonoff pot pie was amazing. Huge and filling. Plenty of mushrooms and chicken and the pastry on top was the light, fluffy and buttery and the perfect complimentary topper. The potatos in the dish were cut so thin, were so soft and buoyant that I had no idea they were potatoes until I ate one by itself. Which was a great thing since I do not like pot pie filled with chunks of potato. Everything was so fresh and the finest ingredients. Quality is amazing here.
My husband’s monk fish was cooked perfectly. He loved it.
The dessert wasn’t on the menu. The waiter came by and told us different options. We got the ricotta mousse dish. It was so creamy, and had pine cone preserves on top. I never had those before. The pine cones are baby pine cones. Soft and chewy and tastes like a Christmas explosion in your mouth.
I was so satisfied when leaving. $100 for two drinks, an app, two entrees and a dessert. There was a 3% “technology charge” which I am not sure what that was for. Maybe for using a credit card? I am not a fan of restaurants putting the credit card fee onto the customer responsibility.
Try this place with friends, family or for a date night. Excellent food and service I will be coming back again and hoping this place...

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere set the tone for an unforgettable evening. The service? Top-notch. Our server was not only attentive but genuinely friendly, making sure we felt taken care of without being overbearing. Every dish was explained in detail, and we never had to wait long for refills or requests. The entire team worked seamlessly together, which made the experience feel personal and seamless. If I could give a service rating of 10, I absolutely would.
Now, let’s talk about the food. Every bite was a delight! From the appetizer to dessert, each dish was crafted to perfection. The flavors were bold, fresh, and innovative without feeling overwhelming. The chef clearly has a passion for high-quality ingredients and bringing them to life in new and exciting ways. We had a mix of dishes to share, and each one was a flavor bomb, with perfect textures and balanced seasonings.

Read moreAdour is the kind of establishment that has a chance to be a local business pillar of the community for years and years. George T and Andrei have deftly applied the skills from their long careers in NYC, to create a sophisticated restaurant in an incredibly welcoming, neighborly setting.
Adour sits on a quiet commercial block of Broadway in the quiet, working-class community of Bayonne, New Jersey. But on a busy night at the Bistro, you could be excused for momentarily forgetting you're not in some cozy inn in southern France, or somewhere else near the Mediterranean. From the cheerful service to the tasteful, down-to-earth decor to the hip soundtrack, Adour's sense of place sets it apart. Fine details are everywhere, not announcing themselves boldly but rather melding subtly, to create just the right mood.
In true bistro fashion, the menu offers something for just about every taste or craving, albeit in an impressively focused, concise way. Southern European flavors and ingredients are prominently featured, but the burger, chicken Stroganoff pot pie, and BBQ brisket with mac 'n' cheese are every bit as relevant. Complemented by a just-right selection of wines, beers, and house cocktails, Adour brings the complete package. I can't...
