Thank the gods that Bagel Shack was the only bagel place open this morning (May 1st) This was my first time here and my experience today made me a lifelong customer. I had initially wanted to leave a several dollar electronic tip, but my debit card wasn't "working" so I checked my banking app and sure enough my balance was only $9 and change 😬 The coffee was already poured, the bacon, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel was already made and I was sweating bullets... How do I pay if my balance is too low?? Adrien the counter attendant came to the rescue without being asked, re-rang my order, only charging me $4.79 and lo! I was able to pay and still give a modest tip! I don't expect that to happen every day, but I was so humbled by the generosity of this young man. I sat right outside, ate half and was so blown away by how good the food was too 😳 I went right back inside to tell them how much I enjoyed my food and walked out to hop on my bike and go about my day, thinking about how I could pay it forward 🙂 A minute later, Adrien (I really hope I'm spelling your name right) came out to gift me with a free everything bagel! Who does that? Bagel...
Read moreI'll start with the positives: the bagels are excellent! If you're looking for a quick bagel with cream cheese, they will not disappoint. I love the cinnamon raisin bagel with blueberry cream cheese. The only issue is sometimes they get overwhelmed with customers on busy weekends and the toaster doesn't operate as well due to the overload and the bagels don't get that delicious burn you get from them on a good day. For the negatives: not good for much else besides bagels. The omelet was as dry as the Sahara with the worst burn this side of spinning rubber on a NASCAR track. The quesadillas looked like they bathed in a grease pit for three days and three nights. However, the chicken tenders were delicious, but that's because they're just frying them and not crafting them. The cook seems to do whatever he wants as he doesn't listen to the orders given to him by the friendly, hard-working, and accommodating young ladies who work the counter. So, if you want a bagel, I highly recommend. If you want other menu options to avoid lines at Uncle Will's or Chicken or the Egg, move down the...
Read moreI’ve lived across the street almost my whole entire life. And I moved back about six months ago, so being that I’m a local they usually give me a break, with a “discount” card. These girls they have working in there right now are almost ALL rude. Sloppy. And charge me a different price everytime I’m in there. Today I asked why she was charging me so much, and I’m with my two year old. The girl behind the counter litterally shouted at me insisting “I ALWAYS CHARGE YOU THE SAME”. Let me just add, there’s been several days I’ve gotten my bagel and they’ve completely messed it up, i never complain about that once because I know how busy it gets. But when I’m being charged a different price everyday, I’m going to ask why. I guess this is just one more place that’s going to fall apart on...
