I travelled over a thousand miles to come to experience these world famous wings, and I was not disappointed one bit. I came up from Florida for a wedding and when my friend found out I was in town, he asked me if I wanted to go and try these wings. I will tell you that going there on a holiday weekend in the summer will ensure that you sit in shore traffic driving in, but one thing you can do to minimize your down time is get their no wait app. This allowed us to tell them we were coming and an estimated time of arrival. We were seated within 5 minutes of getting there which was great to walk by the long angry line of people. I'm going to start off by saying that there is more than just wings. Their menu is actually quite extensive, but since I came quite a far distance I went for their specialty WINGS. While growing up there was a wing place that is long gone by me that made the best wings I have ever had. I have been searching for wings like it to no avail. This is the closest I have gotten to the same experience so far. Since my time here was limited I split my 12 wing order between the Bar-B-Whew and Bee Sting. At the time I did not think my ordering through as much as I should. These two sauces are very similar in being sweet and having the same level of heat. The one noticeable difference is the BBQ versus Honey sweetness. Quite honestly I liked both the same. Each tasted great to me, but if I had to choose between them I would go with the bee sting. It was just a smoother blend between the heat and sweet. Eventually the tasted blended together in my mouth as I ate my way into a food coma. On my way home the food coma forced me into a nice power nap, but after awaking I already made plans for my return to Chegg. Sure it is a drive and time consuming but well worth it. Be forewarned since it is a beach town they are not open all year. So plan you trip accordingly and I highly suggest the no wait app. Finally I can say without a shadow of a doubt, that Chicken or the Egg is definitely fat kid test fat kid approved. As always Stay...

Fun family restaurant. Delicious "naked" chicken wings option... I DESPISE the abomination that is breaded or battered wings for traditional buffalo wings and was really happy they had the naked (uncoated) option. Breaded wings are fine for me if eaten dry but when coated with any wet sauce they just get soggy, messy, and disappointing. This place gets that, hence the "naked" option. Their buffalo Sauce had a tinge of heat but was not overly hot and was very tasty (even had me dipping fries in the leftover sauce). There were many alternative sauce options as well beyond traditional buffalo hot sauce for folks who maybe prefer something a little sweeter or tangier. They had a wide range of early bird specials (must be seated by 5 PM) and a page of daily specials as well. My kids both had huge bowls of Mac & cheese and my wife really enjoyed some fried chicken strips and a deep fried broccoli appetizer that came with a delicious horseradish dipping sauce. I opted for the prime rib from the early bird specials and it also came with the horseradish sauce as well as a bowl of au jus. I know, it probably sounds crazy to go for prime rib in a famous chicken place but it was a great deal and I was rewarded with a delicious piece of meat. Fries are crisp and tasty. Fun decor/atmosphere throughout (my 8 year old son LOVED the colorful table tops that resemble panels from a comic strip or comic book). Walls decorated with lots of surfer or nautical items. Music selection was outstanding & spanned at least 40 years of rock and roll... it had many people at our table and surrounding tables singing along. BYOB. Staff were friendly and attentive. Very good family...

Never in my life have I encountered such RACIST behavior till I came here. It’s my first time in LBI so my family and I decided to dine here. We were seated by a young male in a dirty table so we decided to sit in the empty table next to us and he said it was fine. The waitress (SAMANTHA) approached us and told us we had to leave because didn’t have menus and therefore assumed we cut the line and just sat ourselves. We explained to her multiple times that the hostess sat us and she could check with him that we did not cut no line (we waited 30 mins to be seated). Samantha rudely denied to serve us and then sent another waiter who then kicked us out with security. We explained to him to check with the front and once again denied us service. We asked multiple times to speak to a manger and no one wanted to help us. It was very clear this was a white only establishment and did not care much to serve us. We asked for the camera footage and as I approach the exit, I tell Samantha that her behavior was rude and inappropriate and she approaches me and pushes me. This girl layed her hands on me and pushed me multiple times and gave me the middle finger cursing me out. We spoke to security and police afterwards and they all agreed that we were racially profiled after watching the footage of what had happened. Other customers approached us and said this happens often. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT BUSINESSES LIKE THIS. What an embarrassment it is for this to happen in a country like this. The management at this place needs to take action and fire Samantha for laying her hands on a customer. This place will NEVER have my support! AVOID...

Enjoyed breakfast here at the mildly kitschy LBI favorite "Chegg" cafe and came back later for some incredible wings. If you've not been here yet it's worth stopping by. This place is staff-heavy (that can't be profitable?) so from a customer standpoint it's awesome, because your needs are going to be met with ease. A mere glance at your server has them stopping by in seconds. Even management will look in on you to gauge your satisfaction; might even take a seat and chat with you :) I had the platter of corned beef hash and eggs. It was canned hash, not fresh as I preferred, but none the less was pretty tasty considering. Eggs were made perfectly to order. My wife of a million years went rogue and asked for sliced avocado alongside her order of french toast...they delivered. The wings were...as the kids say these days...'banging'! So good you'll want to eat the plate so as not to waste the flavor in the residual sauce that escaped in that direction. Only downside is the restroom...way too close to the dining area and way to small for the number of patrons. Luckily we sat mid-dining room against the wall. Tip 1: Don't get seated on the back right corner, wait for a table elsewhere in the dining room. Tip 2: Yes they take credit cards...don't be intimidated by the ATM machine outside the building, or the lack of Visa/Mastercard signage on the front door. Tip 3: Unlike other NJ beach towns, there are no parking meters/kiosks to feed, just park and enjoy!

The food is awesome, they’re super quick, and the servers are always sweethearts! BUT!!!! If you happen to have a young male server named Gavin, and you’re not a hot young girl, he just won’t serve you lol. He’ll make sure to huff and puff loudly. He’ll also go to a table of young women about 20 times and tell them he’ll get them free food. But he will only take you and your fiancés order, never come back, then drop off the check. He will not check in on you or get you a refill or take your other order you wanted to put in or even give you a straw. But if you’re a hot young girl, hey you could get some free food from Gavin 🤭 Also the last time we were there we unfortunately had him as our server that time too, where he loudly complained about costumers 2 feet away from me. That was super uncomfortable. Love going here but fingers crossed Gavin isn’t my server anymore because it’s just a painfully awkward experience. Cooks never miss tho!! Food is always perfect from them. They’re doing amazing.
