Review:

WooHoo Ice Cream Shop in Beach Haven is an absolute gem! Since they first opened their doors, we've been loyal patrons, and for good reason. Their homemade ice cream is simply divine, with flavors that are both inventive and irresistible. From classics like vanilla to adventurous creations like Party in Dough USA, every scoop is a delight.

One of our favorite treats is their homemade cookie sandwiches—they're a must-try! The cookies are baked to perfection and paired with generous scoops of their creamy ice cream, creating a heavenly combination that keeps us coming back for more.

What makes WooHoo truly special is their incredibly friendly and environmentally conscious ownership. They go the extra mile by using solar power and implementing excellent waste separation practices, ensuring their operations are sustainable. Plus, they're allergy-friendly and offer dairy-free choices, ensuring everyone can enjoy their ice cream experience.

If you haven't visited WooHoo Ice Cream Shop yet, you're missing out on a delightful experience that combines delicious flavors with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Treat yourself and your loved ones to a scoop or two—you won't be disappointed!

Ode to Ice Cream on LBI:

Oh, sweet delight on sunny shores, Where ice cream dreams and laughter pour. In Beach Haven, by the sea so blue, WooHoo's flavors sing to you.

From salty air to sandy toes, Each scoop a tale that softly flows. Party in Dough USA, a taste divine, Savored beneath the warm sunshine.

Cookie sandwiches, handcrafted bliss, A perfect treat for every kiss Of ocean breeze that softly sighs, As seagulls dance in painted skies.

So here's to WooHoo, our cherished spot, Where memories bloom and cares forgot. In every lick, a story spun, Of summer joys...

I visited LBI Labor Day weekend and was really looking forward to this place after hearing they make homemade ice cream and more natural. So I thought it would be a safer choice. Unfortunately, I was mistaken. I asked about their ice cream sandwiches and what kind of cookie was used for the key lime pie sandwich and was told it was chocolate chip. Not what I expected (I thought they would pair it with a graham cracker cookie), but I was ok with it since I like chocolate chip. The girl at the register handed me the ice cream sandwich which was completely wrapped/packaged. It was hard to open and it would have been nice if she offered to cut it open since I was eating it there. I was extremely disappointed with the taste and quality. The cookie tasted like a vanilla sugar cookie, not chocolate chip like the girl at the register told me, and it was raw. It might have been baked about a quarter of the time it should have been. I normally like cookie dough, but this didn’t even taste good. The ice cream didn’t taste good either. The picture of the card is what was packaged with the ice cream sandwich. They didn’t separate the ingredients of the cookie from the ice cream, but either way the ingredients were not good and I was disappointed with a place that seems to promote “home made”, “fresh”, and gives the impression of natural ingredients. It doesn’t seem any different from getting the cheapest ice cream at a big grocery store or gas station. I hope...

WooHoo has an electronic ice cream flavor menu that you would think is easy to update. After I ordered and waited a minute or two, I was told “we are out of that flavor”, I ordered a second flavor choice, also listed on the electronic menu. After again waiting, I was told “we are out of that flavor” . My third selection was available, and I watched as the server had quite a difficult time adding the second scoop to my two scoop cone order. The second scoop kept falling off. After a few more attempts, the server was able to balance the second scoop, but as she lifted up the cone from the ice cream tub area, the second scoop fell off and I was served, with a shrug, that I interpreted as “that was the best I could do”. I was charged for two scoops and served a cone with ultimately less ice cream than what was on my wife’s single scoop cone. It’s not about the price, it is all about service. After tasting the ice cream, my assumption is that due to a very “icy” texture on what should have been a creamy ice cream texture, it was quite challenging to get the two scoops to stick together. So who was at fault….the person who made the batch of ice cream? The server? Both. As a member of a family who has lived on LBI for 5 generations, I understand the difficulty getting Summer help, and never set the bar high in anticipation of great Summer LBI service, but I think WooHoo should try a...

With so many ice cream shops on the island, one way to distinguish yourself amongst the rest is service. I can’t say with absolute certainty but I’m pretty sure our girl was high. She forgot what we ordered twice (there was no line so it wasn’t frantically busy), and at the end, I tipped $4.50+ on a $23 bill, and she stared at me. After a couple seconds of brief silence, I said thank you and walked away. The kids liked their soft serve so I gave it an additional star. Won’t be driving 20+ minutes down the island for WooHoo anymore. I realize the owner puts all his heart into the business and i’m not one to give bad reviews (see my other reviews) but a business’ reputation lies on its end product and it’s front line. Front line needs work. A simple “thank you for coming” goes a long way - especially with gas prices so high.

Aesthetically speaking the ice crea is awesome, flavor its ok though. My complain here is about the girl in charge I told her specifically what I wanted and she didnt seem yo understand three times that I wanted a ice cream with two scoops of different flavor each one and also gave me an attitude and all did was place an order .Make sure you train your stuff properly and not people that seem not wanting to be there pr doing a favor to the customers. The reason why I give it three stars was because another employee took over my order and was much nicer and gave me a cone and a cup.
