Decided to try this place upon the recommendation of a local me and boyfriend flagged down on the street - some mixed feelings about the place but good overall.
Cons - food could be a little better. The chowder we got was mostly potato and on the thin side which wasnt ideal, but it wasn't awful and it's so much better than where I'm from. We shared the seafood cob which has a generous amount of seafood for a single person but sharing might just barely be enough. Dressing was good but I would prefer it be on the side (they kinda drowned the salad tbh) so it doesn't interfere with the flavor of the seafood but that is just my opinion! Pretty costly for what is offered here but it could be much worse.
Pros - (more than cons I promise) Ambiance - a beautifully warmly lit sea faring themed Tavern, not in any way cheesy, with a family friendly vibe but if you wanted, a pretty romantic rendezvous spot with your sweetheart. They play great music too! Service - anyone I interacted with was nothing but nice walking in and our server (Phil I believe) is nothing short of an absolute doll. Super accomadating and a fantastic attitude. He answered all of our questions to the best of his ability! Food - while I did have some issues, their concepts are great and their seafood is great. The seafood Cobb has meaty shrimp, finely cooked salmon, and a good portion of lump crab to fill your belly. I will definitely be returning as is seems a large portion of patrons get their burgers! And I don't like avocado but their avocado's are creamy and fresh 🤤 Drinks - beer is typical aside from a few select interesting things. Their drinks are to die for! The tikitini was beautiful, the Lynchburg Lemonade was refreshing and bracing and the cucumber cooler is quite dangerous😉
Conclusion: I know what to avoid but an overall enjoyable experience. I will definitely be returning...

Pros: Delicious food, super friendly staff, relaxing environment, well priced. Open all year.
Cons: ?
Tonight my husband and I decided to dine out last minute. We made reservations, which we realized we would be late to. We called ahead of time to let Tuckers know we would be late and they accommodated us with no problem. When we arrived we were greeted by an absolutely friendly staff. We asked to be seated outside and as the hostess sat us, she turned to us and said, “I just love the view, that sunset!” Yes, indeed, it was a wonderful night to enjoy a very scrumptious meal. I completely ignored the fact that I cannot have gluten and I will pay for it, but, the sacrifice needed to be made. We ordered: -Crispy Rhode Island Calamari: -Really tasty. Mostly spot on tender and the hot peppers are a welcomed, tasty treat. -Local Tuna Tacos: -*The standout!!!! The tuna was really fresh and packed into the delicate shell. It is literally packed atop a subtle seaweed salad. There consists of four and one person can have this as a meal. Really delicious. -Chopped Salad: -One of the better chopped salads that I have had. It is a decent sized portion, but each bite contains every element of the salad. Order it! -Wood Fired Corn Guacamole: -A very tasty bed of white corn sits above creamy, well seasoned guacamole. Served with seasoned tortilla chips. The guacamole is so flavorful that the chips do not need to be seasoned.
The staff is very fun, friendly, professional, and courteous. The atmosphere is relaxing, comfortable, and definitely inviting. Tuckers is a great place to...
Read moreWe had an 8:30 reservation and we were seated right away didn't have to wait. We ordered our appetizers with our waitress Katie which was super friendly.
We ordered the calamari and the chicken wings for all of us to share at the table. My husband ordered the clam chowder. Holy cow please save your money on the soup. The soup tasted like they poured buckets of sour cream in it. My husband had me try it. It was truly awful. I think Country Kettle has better tasting soups. Very disappointing. The calamari was also disappointing. They were super tiny and tasteless. Don't bother ordering the calamari neither. However the chicken wings were actually one of the best chicken wings my family and I have ever tried. Highly recommend it.
For dinner we asked Katie to recommend us some meals. She recommended the seafood cobb salad. My husband order the salad and he said the seafood Cobb salad was delicious. Plenty of seafood and it was big enough for two people. I order the lamb tacos as my dinner since there were not a lot of options for me to pick from the main dishes. The tacos were okay. Unfortunately they were drench in this sauce that was a little overwhelming. The sauce could have come in a small little container instead of drenching the tacos with this sauce. Since my meal was small I asked for a side order of coleslaw. When we got the bill my husband and I saw that they charged us $9 for a small portion of coleslaw. A little obsessive. Now I'm wondering are all the sides $9? There were no prices for the sides on the menu.
Overall the food was good, our waitress was nice and the atmosphere...
