Carrabba's Italian Grill — Restaurant in Beaumont

So to start with the positives... The Blackberry Sangera was great and the tiramisu is absolutely brilliant! While the waiter was nice he didn't really listen, but that leads us into the negatives.

For a lot of this I'll give him the benefit of the doubt because we were a party of 6, but there are also parts that were 100% on him. We will start with the least to the worst.

To start, it took me asking for a water 3 times before I finally got one, my brother in law had to ask for his drink twice, and my father asked for a refill three times throughout the meal and never got one. We asked for more bread and were informed that there would be a charge. The table agreed to pay for the extra bread, but then none was ever brought. Everywhere was dirty. There were whole sections of bread on the floor that the waiter just kicked under another chair instead of picking up. My sister ordered a soup along with a salad, the soup never came and after she asked for it once she forgot due to the other things happening. When it came to my food, it was completely wrong and he refused to admit it. What I ordered was the Filet & Shrimp Toscana, but I didn't want the steak. This is supposed to be a fettuccine with shrimp, mushrooms, and spinach in a garlic sauce. Instead what I got was a shrimp alfredo with no veggies. There is a huge difference between a garlic sauce and an alfredo sauce, but he repeatedly claimed it was the garlic sauce and not the alfredo. Though he finally did agree to at least get me the spinach and mushrooms to add onto the top. He kept trying to bring us our ticket even though we stated multiple times that we wanted desserts. Though, again once we finally got them they were very good.

After waiting ten minutes for a manager, we finally gave up and left. Marking it as a place that I'll never walk into again, which is extremely upsetting because it was my recently passed grandma's favorite...

Today about 12:45 we went to Carrabba's. I have never had worse service at any restaurant anywhere. We we seated quickly. That's about the only thing I can say that was positive.

The waitress took her time getting there. At the time there were about three other couples in the restaurant. We were prepared to order soon but no waitress.

When she finally got there we told her they hadn't brought bread. After about ten minutes a young man did bring bread. We had to ask for butter. A good fifteen minutes later we got our tea and ordered an appetizer.

Another fifteen minutes later we asked again. The waitress finally brought it but didn't take our order. She returned at least twenty minutes later and brought one plate.

She had failed to put in the order for two. She didn't seem to remember until we reminded her that we both ordered the same thing and that we discussed the side dishes with her.

My friend told her to please order her food and make it to go. She did however want dessert to eat then. It was awkward eating alone. Another fifteen minutes passed and she came back and asked if we'd decided on dessert. My friend told her she'd already ordered it and had planned to eat it while I ate my meal since she failed to serve her food. I'd finished eating some of my food having lost my appetite because it was so upsetting.

Finally she brought the dessert after we were ready to leave. She also brought the soup which was to be served ahead of my meal. She packaged it to go with my friends meal.

The food was good but I didn't enjoy it. The time involved was ridiculous. The fact that she brought food for one was totally absurd. She acted as if this were perfectly normal. Everything about the experience was awful.

The restaurant has been around for a long time though I can imagine why. I will never return to that...

The food was horrible, we ordered a pizza as an appetizer which came out soggy and half cooked. As for the pasta mine was a baked something, it came out watery and the waiter told me it was sautéed not baked when the menu read it was a baked pasta. My fiancé’s pasta was a fettuccine lemon wine sauce it tasted very watered down and flavorless, almost to the point where it wasn’t only bland but nasty. The manager finally came to our table after sending back our food, and asked if we would like a do over. It took close to 30 minutes to bring out our other food which was edible but not good. Our overall time sitting in the restaurant took two hours granite it was 6 o’clock on a Saturday night in their defense. For a minute I thought maybe we were being to picky as we never send food back, but in the two hours we were there “ only took ten minutes to be seated” at least half of the tables were sending their food back or couldn’t get their food to the tables at the same time. Olive Garden would have been better then what we were served tonight. Long story short they took off the food we sent back and charged us for the food we didn’t send back “ only reason we didn’t send it back was to just leave” which was fine as I told the manager I wasn’t there to get free food I just wanted some good food. They could have at least taken our 2 teas off the bill but not a big deal. This may have been a rare incident all I can say is I will never be back to give them a second chance. I feel really bad for the large party that was there the same amount of time as us. When we left only half of them had gotten their food.

Ps: second pizza we ordered was DRIPPING with grease, it made Pizza Hut look like gourmet...
