We LOVE Popeyes spicy chicken, biscuits, coleslaw & apple pies (they're deep fried & rolled in cinnamon & sugar like the traditional McDonalds ones were). Living in Yucaipa can make it difficult for Popeye's chicken lovers, cause we have to drive 30 mins to dirty Hunts Lane or Baseline in East Highlands. So, having to drive to one in Beaumont, just over the hill & down Cherry Valley Blvd(15mins away) seemed wonderful! Hummmm. We pulled up at 5pm. Drive-thru line out the street, so we opted to park next to the front door on the curb. My husband was only running in for TWO APPLE PIES! On this trip it was all we bought. He went inside & immediately ordered 2 apple pies & asked how long would it take to get them. He was told, they just came out(of the frier I assume), and will be ready in just a few minutes. Parked where I could see inside, o I could see others comming in, ordering, getting their food n leaving(approx 10 other customers) while Mike kept waiting...on 2 pies. 15 mins passed. I watched a seemingly late for his shift employee nearly run the stop sign near the back driveway & almost careen his car(with already serious body damage) into a customers car, apparently late for his shift and still...NO PIES! 20 mins pass & prob 5 more customers come n go & FINALLY, a few mins after after 5:20pm, Mike, the only caucasian man inside, is handed a bag with 2 warm pies. AMEN we can be on our way! The a.a. woman behind the counter seemed hurried, but not obviously rude. None the less, we figured out what happened with little to no investigation...see pic of recipt! Instead of it reading Mike or Michael for the customer name, it just says WHITE! Thanks Popeye's, we "WHITE" people feel real comfortable eating at ur establishment- š±šš„ -Totally...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible...it's usually slow but this trip was just plain horrible and it's really over priced. I ordered strips for 3... just combo not platter. $46.00! They asked me to pull around the back as it was going to be 10 for the strips and they'd bring out my order. I pulled around and parked and it was filthy. Weeds, dirty, gross. The woman right in front of me also had to park so we were parked together. After about 20 mins she went in and came back with her order. I asked what she ordered and it was 3 piece strips. I waited another 5 minutes and then I went in. First I was ignored as 1 person in front of me ordered, then the worker turned around and left. I waited another 5 minutes before something came back. It's now been 30 minutes since my order started. She looked at the receipt and I asked about strips and they said they're putting them down now. She told me it would be 15 mins for strips. I looked at her and said do you see that my order was placed 30 minutes ago and now you're telling me it's another 15? Where's my original order. I just want a refund now I'm not waiting another 15 minutes. With an attitude she told the manager I wanted a refund and walked away. He came over and apologized saying the person in front of me ordered 50 strips, not knowing of course I spoke with her. I questioned him and asked when I pulled up to the window why he didn't say anything about that... Then I told him I had talked to her and what she said but he continued to say she ordered 50. I saw her bag and it was a very small container... But he still insisted...AND if the 50 were ordered after me, why didn't they have to wait. He finished my refund.... From the start of my order, to me leaving was 55 minutes and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNEVER AGAIN ā¼ļø Yesterday evening after returning from the snow my husband and I decided we would get some Popeyes. (Beaumont CA on 5th street) After we ordered our meal & received our food we quickly realized that they had gotten our order incorrect & rather than waiting in the long line for the drive thru we went inside. We told the employee our order was incorrect & she apologized and told us she was fix it. While we waited we witnessed that none of the employees were wearing gloves nor were they wearing their masks correctly. One employee in particular was on a phone call with her phone in one hand (whilst not wearing gloves) & preparing orders with the other. Another employee came with a fresh batch of fries put them in a bin & about 5 minutes had passed and someone shouted asking if they fries were ready, the employee that was on a phone call transferred her phone from one had to the other & proceeded to grab a hand full of fries, squeezed them (with NO gloves) & threw them back in the bin & relpied āyes they are ready!ā After seeing this my husband and I decided we didnāt want any of the food so we politely asked for a refund whilst pointing out that none of the employees were wearing their masks properly nor were they wearing gloves. Iāve already called and notified corporate, aside from being in the middle of a pandemic this is unsanitary & quite frankly DISGUSTING. Like I said never again Popeyes. On the bright side we decided to go to Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers We received excellent customer service & every employee was wearing their masks & gloves properly. Popeyes...
