We've been coming to the Calder location for quite a while. Never had any problems until today. First off, we ordered the grilled chicken baked potatos. The order taker at the window, who we've never seen before thought we ordered regular BBQ potatoes. When the lady came to the window to collect our payment we told her that he got our order wrong. The young man who took our order was already making the order (not sure if he washed his hands) and when we told her the order was wrong he gave us a glance like he was mad. Once we got our order we checked the top plate to see if things were correct. (Our previous visit we didn't receive our extra BBQ sauce) We drove away not checking the second plate. Once we got to our destination we checked the second plate and the potato was very small. Not what we are use to. There was barely any chicken on that potato. Both potatoes were full of bacon fat, not the real bacon bits we are use to. We were very disappointed being that we paid $23 dollars for the two potatoes. We called to speak to the manager and of course he wasn't in. We did not go to Tony's BBQ for the attitude the young man gave us but for the good food we usually receive. We plan on not going to this location ever again! The first pic is of the very small potato. Can you see the difference? Very disappointed and wish we would have spent our money...
Read moreThe brisket was on the dry side not much smoke flavor was good enough to eat. I think they cold smoke it center was pink like pastrami. The ribs were better than the Brisket good amount of seasoning and the smoke flavor was more pronounced I enjoyed them a lot more. The sausage was pretty good and wasn't overcooked. BBQ sauce made the food taste better, it had a good smoked flavor that seemed like from meat juices. Pinto beans were very good and the corn was very different never had any like it before. Tried my wife's mustard potato salad it was on point. If I'm ever back in town I'll just get the ribs. The brisket needs some work but everything else was good. My daughter had the baked potato with Brisket she said the meat was dry as well and needed more sauce to make it good. Service was great, man had a good sense of humor and was funny and joked alot, lady a register was polite...
Read moreI usually just get a couple things from here and for that reason I’m leaving more than one star. This particular day I got a brisket sandwich. This poor lil thing was emaciated. The meat was dry, the bun was either soggy or sunburnt- I’m not sure which, and my side of fried okra tangibly FELT and tasted like it had been either microwaved or sitting under a heat lamp for waaay too long, then had nerve to throw in the crusty bottom bits that don’t even have any okra in it. I’m disappointed, honestly… It’s usually better than this, but today, everything was benchwarmer-material. I am underwhelmed. Had my mouth fixed for some Tony’s bbq I’m cryin yall. Please get it together. This isn’t the first time, but the second or third as of recently. Yall gotta keep up. Paid almost $15 for this. THIS. A small side of okra and a...
