I missed breakfast this morning and I was very hungry. I live all the way over by the St Johns Bridge in Northwest Portland and I had to run out to the west side to the PetSmart. Soooo, while at Tanasbourne I Googled breakfast burritos and Camila's has the highest rating in the area. It was a little bit of a further drive across town, but let me tell you something... What a fabulous breakfast burrito!
First of all, the people there were absolutely wonderful. Friendly cordial kind and caring about the customers!
I ordered a bacon and chorizo breakfast burrito and it was fabulous! It was so big I could have used it as a football! 🏈 😂
I couldn't stop eating it. It was so good I ate the whole thing. Make no mistake, I will drive the many miles across town to visit them again! Thank you folks! Well deserving of the near 5.0 rating! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Don Muccigrosso
Update: I was out in Tigard today from Portland taking care of some business. On the way back I decided to stay off the highway and take the side streets. I found myself driving by this wonderful restaurant again! I stopped in and got a pastor breakfast burrito. It was fabulous. It took me forever to eat it all it was so big. But I couldn't stop eating it it was so good! This is the kind of a food source that you help support and remain loyal to. Wonderful people, wonderful food! What more could you ask for?
If you're driving past this wonderful cart don't pass it by! Especially if you're hungry!
Thank you so much! We will be seeing you...
Read moreI was in the area for work and in search of cell service, I ended up in a parking lot adjacent to this lovely oasis surrounded by incredibly beautiful trees and questionable cell phone service . The cell phone service here was Good but the actual service at this food truck was incredible. I found the gentleman and the lady who are working inside to be pleasant, easy going and serious about serving up some of the best food I've eaten all year.
If I had to sum up my impression of the food I would say that there was this overwhelming feeling of freshness. Everything just tasted incredible and you can taste the care that went into the preparation of the scratch made drinks and the love that went into my food was nearly palpable. I don't want to overhype anything but if you want something that tastes delicious and prepared in one of the most impossible clean food carts I've ever seen, by people who obviously love what they do ... Well, you don't need to look any further. Seriously, if you're hungry and you happen to be in this neck of the woods, I highly recommend you swing by here and I also highly recommend their horchata and the two sauces I was able to try were to die for. I can't recall what the second sauce was that I was able to try, but the first sauce that I tried and fell in love with was the spicy peanut Booooy Howdy! Talk...
Read moreThe Good:
I ordered a Supreme Birria burrito and a medium horchata over the phone and was welcomed by a friendly man who was running the truck himself it seemed.
The Bad:
He asked if it was my first time and then told me he did not have more receipts papers and could not give me a receipt. I was charged a few cents below $20, so I’m not sure if I was overcharged on purpose there and wanted to pull a fast one since it was my first time, but probably not.
The Ugly:
There are two things that make any burrito terrible to me: flavorless meat and too much filler. Unfortunately this burrito had far too much of the latter. A little over half of it was honestly just rice and beans. I could hardly taste the birria at all. It hurts me to say this because the owner seemed so nice, but the amount of filler in this is just ridiculous. If you want a burrito that will actually leave you hungrier than you were before you ate it, go get a birria burrito from La Pachanga. So far that place has been the only tasteful taco truck consistently serving burritos with no filler to the...
